2023 MT09 (FINALLY BROKE IN) POWER MODE 1🤯

I went out on mine for the first time yesterday, setting off in mode 2. I stopped along the way and put it down to 3. Scared me like crazy. I’ve had adventure bikes for a number of years, and this is different 😬

@@davewhittleston2963 it is pretty crazy how torquey these bikes are and if you aren’t careful or respect the bike it will end up biting you. Stay safe!

I stayed in mode 3 for the first 600miles, when switched to mode 2 it was like a complete different bike. Saving mode 1 for when I click 1000m 😁

@@raso_i you’re going to love mode 1 it’s crazy what the difference is they really did a great job with the modes on this bike

I bought the same bike brand new last month. They left it in mode 1 with 4 miles. And I didn’t know the difference between 1-4 so I left on mode 1 lmao.

Have you tune or flashed your ECU? If no, has it been running way hotter without it? Also do you know if this exhaust has a cat?

No flash, doesn’t run hotter at all, and no it does not have a cat

Ive been riding mode 1 since i got my 21 sp Got it in mode 4 one time after transporting it and I tought something was broken because I was ready for the pull but I barely moved 😂

@@Stridonjerome it’s insane how much of a difference the power modes are on it. I think mode 4 is phenomenal for rain mode.

I did it was hard to resist haha but I didn’t let temptation get to me I’ve worked with cars and bikes since I was a kid and breaking a motor in properly to me is very important

@@MtbDak the dealer I bought mine from told me that every engine from Yamaha gets put on a dyno before going in 🤷‍♂️ idk I wasn’t out hitting the limiter or anything but definitely didn’t baby it, so far so good

@@Bajaheat most of the time it’s completely fine but I’ve seen some bad things happen initially to bikes so I’m just cautious and do the recommended break in period.

I cabt believe u did not go straight to 1 and every setting on 1 after going for so long in mode 3? 🤯 the selfrestraint is admirable! But yeah, after mode 1 u never go back 😂
