Nice Video, definitely a tad different from the Journo’s. I’m out at Broken Hill waiting on an Everest Sport due early October. So keen as to see your take on the Everest. Getting a long overdue update from a 2011 Dmax and before that a 96 GQ Patrol so keen to measure up the capability of the new Everest compared to how I remember the Patrol. Out here you only have to drive to the end of the street to find an off-road track or a dried up creek bed. I’ll be going back to watch your Simpson Desert Loop vid as I’m looking to do it in the new year once I can get the Everest lifted with 33’s and get the ARB bar on.

The only thing with the engine that's a potential problem is the Alternator is WAYYYY down the bottom of the engine, that's a definite fail for water crossings, other than that it looks fantastic

With it being close on $100,000 from factory (not including any dealership markup) and only rated to 2500kg braked maximum towing I’d be asking a few questions as to why your paying so much for a vehicle with more than enough power to tow yet rated so low. For similar money your looking at a Y62 which can tow over double. before anyone comes at me about not being able to actually tow 3500kg with a hilux etc at least your covered under insurance and warranty if the worst were to happen. Your only going to be able to tow a jet ski or a fold away camper with this thing

It’s because of the suspension. You sometimes can’t have you cake and eat it to. Raptor has Fox 2.5” live valve internal bypass coil overs. These shocks are designed to do one job absorb massive bumps and jumps. Combined with a set spring rate to make sure there soft enough for normal driving there just not able to also carry a heavy down ball load. It’s got nothing to do with the power of the v6.

@@TyFenwick true. but with the way suspension is designed these days surely they could have done progressive spring rates or perhaps something different that I’m not aware of to help with this. Most of the sales of this specific variant are out priced of the general public though wouldn’t you think? For the most part your looking at cashed up tradies buying these or people like yourself. Both of which use their vehicles in vastly different way but both come down to weight. Wether it be loading it on the back or pulling it.
