2023 Ohyhee Motorcycle Club's Vintage Motocross Race

This is such a fun event here in Boise. Actually, the annual 2-day event here in Boise at the Owyhee Motorcycle Club (OMC) is just one of the vintage motocross races organized by the Pacific Northwest Vintage Motocross Club (PNWVMX) and they have venues at quite a few motocross tracks throughout the pacific northwest throughout the year. The sights, sounds and smells really take any vintage bike enthusiast back to their past and seem to be quite popular. Thank you.

Love events like this. Some of those big two strokes are quite intimidating to ride. Can you imagine the kids in a few years time watching folks like us inhaling two Stoke smoke and saying 'wow that great' 😅

Richard I didn't think about how crazy it might seem to many riders even today but it brings out my inner child.😄😄 In 1972 a friend of my brothers was out riding with us on deserted motocross track on his 1972 Suzuki TM400. He let me ride this 40+ horsepower beast and it got my immediate respect when it came on the power. Still remember that ride like it was yesterday.

That brought back a lot of old memories! I did a lot of MX in the 70s, mostly in WA. My best was getting lapped by Joel Robert at the Puyallup Trans-Am.

That was pretty cool. I only read about him in magazines and never saw him race in person much less get lapped.🤩

That was great!! I would have crawled up the jump and coasted down. Susan and I watched that English show one night and laughed hard

At this point I doubt I could finish one lap at any speed, but I would try and fly at least once. Roger I too loved the show and now have DVDs on all 273 episodes, perfect for watching with a cold beer .

You have to give credit to the Marshalls at events like this. They are brave guys. I bet the atmosphere was amazing

I want a 70's 2 stroke bike. A nice 250 single and a 400 or 500 triple. Got my eyes open for them.

Was looking at some real beauties last weekend at the UK classic bike show Stafford with some nice bikes for sale. Might cost you on shipping back to the US.
