Happy new year Steph! Thanks for sharing your goals for 2023. They are all great and I have similar ones for myself. Like you, I've been chronically sick for many years (soon 9 years) due to mold toxicity and I can't put my life on hold any longer. So I need to start enjoying it despite not always feeling great. Wishing you and your husband all the best in 2023 💞😊

Hi Steph, thank you for another lovely video! I feel at home and at peace when I watch and listen to you. For me 2022 was probably the hardest year of my life. I lost hope in my body... For 2023 I wanted to set goals like "gain a few pounds" or "heal my stomach", but this Christmas I had one of those moments you talk about and finally had to face the truth. For now, I can't change my body no matter how hard I tried. So I'm trying to accept it. It is hard and it is a journey. But I believe there is great power in acceptance and a lot of grace. My goal for 2023 is to try to live more with God, pray more and accept more that He has given me. I cannot understand His plan but I believe that, in this world, we need to learn to feel His love when happy, but also when suffering. It feels different, to be honest... It's hard to explain. When I am happy and at ease, my heart is open and flooded with love. But when I am in pain, my heart closes up and even if I know in my rational mind that He is with me, I can barely feel it. But these days I was thinking that that could be the purpose of life here. To feel His love in all these different ways. Even when in pain and suffering. It's a different experiemce of Him, but surely it has its value... I wish you a better new year and lots of health and happiness! 🙏🏻

Wow. Thank you for your vulnerability. I can feel the exhaustion in your words, but also the peace that comes with coming to that place of surrender. It’s not something you can manufacture - it’s truly an “I can’t do this anymore” moment. I pray you can find ways to enjoy small joys this year & manage or heal the challenges going on. 💚

I absolutely relate to you. I am chronically ill since 9 years now and I took school work or task at step one. In this year I want to live my life and have lots of fun and joy. I am looking forward to enjoying my life to the fullest again. 🥰

Love this video and can completely relate - I also have endo and have been watching your videos for about a year since I found the CEC vlog - this is definitely my favorite. Love the new mic, the message, and the sweater 👍🏻 My hard drive is also full from the household mental load and trying to keep up with specific diets for my family, etc … I’m staying tuned!

I always thought the "word of the year" was really difficult. I didn't understand how one word could encompass a whole year. When I started my new planner for this year, it has a part that says "This year, I'm looking forward to ___." And my mind instantly filled it in with "rebuilding." Rebuilding my health. Rebuilding my work. Rebuilding (more like building) social connections. So this is the year of rebuilding!

This video felt like a really lovely, safe space to reflect and dream. My intention is to start working on nervous system healing with Sarah Jackson. Thank you for speaking about her Steph. You and a few other lovely souls in this space mentioned her a few times and I decided to check her out. What a gift that was 😊💛🙏

I just finished watching this video while I laid under my red light. Your channel has been so helpful to me in this past year since I found you! You are the reason I got a red light, which helps my organ pain,.I am also looking into see if I should remove my permanent metal retainer as well. When I first got CFS, my hair was a mess! I have past waist length hair. I tried expensive hair products and nothing helped. I now use Viori rice shampoo and conditioner, and it works miracles! Many people say it helps hair loss, so it’s worth a look into. In the shower I use a scalp massager to get the shampoo into my scalp. A couple times a week I use a clarifying shampoo. After the shower, I just put a hydrating mousse or hydrating spray onto my ends.I also do a loose braid for sleeping. My hair has never been happier! I understand everyone is different, but I thought I’d share! This new year has been difficult, because this January I’ll have been sick for 2 years. I feel like life is passing me by.😭 Ive been trying to think of goals for the year, but I feel that puts so much pressure on me, which affects my health. I do however want to get better at praying. I’m also looking into getting a wheelchair so I can get out more. That quote at the beginning of the video was so comforting! I’m going to write it down. Keep up the great videos. You are such a great example and inspiration!💗

1. I'm SO glad the red light is helping with organ pain 🥺 Makes my heart so happy! 2. GORL thank you for coming in clutch with these tips. Googling as we speak. Is the Viori a bar? So interesting! I've never used a shampoo bar before. I'll definitely have to try these tips out this year. 3. I feel exactly the same way. Like life is just passing by, but those "small" goals of praying more and getting the wheelchair may be the things to work towards that help give you some life back, so I hope you find the things that do that for you this year! 👏🏼

Yes! It is a bar! I keep them in containers (they last longer if you let them dry out instead of letting them sit in the shower). I get the bottom of the bar a little wet, and the just rub it onto my scalp (shampoo) and onto the ends (conditioner). The shampoo lathers best when you use a scalp massager. I have really oily hair so I wash it every other day. It’s best to shampoo the scalp because the ends of the hair don’t have much oil, and shampoo dries the ends up, leading to breakage and brittle hair(rinsing out the shampoo is sufficient enough to clean the ends).I ring out my hair, and then condition only the ends.Conditioning the scalp leads to oily hair. The Viori bars work for any hair type.I find that if you use the shampoo and conditioner they both untangle the hair really easily. I know they are a little expensive, but they last a while if you only shampoo the scalp, and condition the ends, even if you wash your hair often. If you get buildup or an itchy scalp like I do, use the Viori shampoo (or any shampoo really) with a clarifying shampoo. Be warned- clarifying shampoo is a more aggressive shampoo and should only be used about once a week.If you go on the Viori website, you can take a quiz to see which soap bars are best for your hair type. I use the citrus shampoo and conditioner bars. But you can get unscented as well. They are all natural. If you don’t like wearing your hair in a braid at night, you can sleep on a silk pillowcase or wear a silk sleep cap. Never use regular hair ties if you can help it. They cause breakage. Instead use scrunchies or a type of ribbon hair tie. Also avoid tight hairstyles and using heated styling tools often. Sorry for the long reply! I’ve done a ton of research on hair care. You just have to try different routines and find what’s best for you! People think hair care has to be complicated, it doesn’t. My hair takes hardly any time at all. I wash, hydrate, comb it, and sleep in a protective hairstyle, that’s it and bang! I have healthy waist length hair.😂

Haha no shame in that! I want to decorate with more “winter” themed decor next year vs Christmas so I can leave it up longer. But I like the refresh.
