Contrary to your comment, the sunroof both slides open and tilts open - your finger was right next to the switch in the overhead console. Porsche's conservative 0-60 time is 6.0 seconds with Car & Driver getting 5.0 seconds. If that is "no power" in your view, the simple solution is to just get the V-6 twin turbo. 🙂

You offer a unique perspective....some good and some bad, but it's really unfair to compare a 911 Carrera S versus a Macan base SUV. They really are entirely two different cars. In fact, when Porsche introduced the Cayenne first...many Porsche owners convulsed. They felt it was SACRILEGE. However, the Macan IS Porsche's best selling mode (at least in the USA)l!!! In a world where many higher-performance cars savagely accelerate to 60 mph in less than four seconds, or get to 150 mph in under 20 seconds, how can anyone attempt to equate a SUV with a sleek, powerful, highly nimble sports coupe or roadster? I think Porsche accomplished quite a bit by taking a 2.0 liter engine, placing it in a car that weighs over 4,000 pounds and stands 10-12 inches higher than any of those sport cars and getting it to accelerate 0-60 mph in 6.0 seconds...and make it perform better than all those huge Detroit-built 4,000-pound V-8 muscle cars from the mid-60s to early 70s. No, the Macan isn't slow....it's just NOT a sports car, but I think many applaud Porsche for accomplishing what they did in designing, engineering and building the Macan. Is it fair to compare a high-performance (443 hp) sports car that weighs 3400 pounds versus a 261-hp SUV that weighs 20% (>700 lbs) MORE (Macan base: 4,100 lbs)? Or to compare a car whose roofline is 53" high versus another car whose roofline is 10" higher? The Carrera has 38% more horsepower per pound versus the Macan - 8.0 lb/hp (Carrera S) vs 11 lb/hp (Macan base); that is significant! Per Porsche's specs Carrera S: 0-60: Carrera S (~3.5 seconds); Macan base: (6.1 seconds). Price: Carrera S: from $131,000; Macan Base: from $62,900 (Carrera S is $68,000 MORE than a Macan). YES: comparing a 911 Carrera S versus a Macan base IS NOT FAIR TO EITHER MODEL. I'm glad to hear you like the styling, because most folks feel the same way. The front trunk in a 911 is less than 5 cubic feet and you noted that the trunk space is good...(17 cubic feet, which isn't really too bad at all)...The back is tight, no doubt. 4:00: the sticker shows 25 mpg highway but the voice-over says "20 mpg on the highway". Hmmm. In closing: you DID spend the time video recording this; you probably spent time editing, also. So, no one should harshly criticize you for your efforts. So, like almost all video creators, I offer my thanks to you for your time and efforts.

If the car is truly as slow as he describes, there is a solenoid related to the accelerator that may need to be replaced...that is, 1) if the car is truly as "so slow" as he describes, and 2) given he actually knows what he is talking about. And, why would the reviewer put down his wife's perception as being so unaware? What is the point of that...other than perhaps the reviewer showing himself to be a little slow?

Terrible reviews. I’m on my third Macon and love this vehicle. Knucklehead.

The 4cyl is so slow. Porsche should be ashamed of themselves.

What a useless review! How can the power from the 2.0 litre be as bad as he “stated over and over at nauseam” when there are literally hundreds of other reviews that praise the performance while of course stating that it should not be compared to the S or GTS. I personally don’t see the logic of really criticizing the car seeing that it does do 0-60 in the 6.0 to 6.5 seconds range. Worst review.
