@@squirrelgray945 Fair enough. The main thing I was put off by was the euro tour ad that played a few times per round in the last few tourneys. It felt like an action movie trailer and it went too fast for me even consume the data. That felt like a bit of an intrusion into the Jomez Brand. Especially having YTPremium to avoid ads in the first place. I guess self promo isn't negative in general, but I think they missed the mark with the tone and energy.

Hole 4 is reminding me of the discussion about spitouts/chainouts from a couple practice rounds ago, and Uli had the idea of some kind of sensor that indicates that a putt was "made", regardless of whether it stays in or not. Like, Isaac could have done nothing better. That idea would have actually been pretty clutch in that moment

You can practice that downhill headwind putt at Turner practice basket in Grand Prairie ,Texas. There's always wind blowing up toward the parking lot and the basket is down a good bit of hill.

How is it that SO MANY OF THESE BASKETS HAVE FUNDAMENTAL FLAWS?????? Corey Ellis' disc falling through the basket, Isaac's travels through ALL THE CHAINS to pop out the other side? Discs maintain a similar size and shape per disc, per regulation. It isn't that hard to manufacture a basket with proper specifications. Baskets on tour should all be uniform, made by the same manufacturer. Not to mention....work correctly.

regarding the downhill putt, i've always found it to be super simple, almost easier than normal putting, and very fun. i enjoy it. its spicey. lol. but why? bc physics. dude you just let the disc go and its there and ching. but honestly. since you can throw a disc presumably you know physics. downhill. less effort needed for disc to travel further. simple.

Yeah, that was my immediate thought as well. Funny enough, an even stronger answer is Hole 16 on the same course (though not after this year since they just made it a Par 4). And then I'd bet Hole 10 at USDGC. If we were going back a few years, I'd bet WACO would have had a couple of them (Holes 8, 15, and 18 were all VERY eaglable)

That was a bad “spit out” but the worst one ever still has to be the one that fell out the bottom of the basket last year.

The difference though is that was a faulty basket at BSF, a part of that cage has been replaced incorrectly leaving a gap in the basket. So that wasn’t due to the design and couldn’t have happened on a different basket. . This one on Hole 4 was purely due to the basket design and is much more concerning since it could theoretically happen on any putt into a Prodigy basket.

Prodigy baskets.. classic. While they are quality made baskets, they have the heavy rings in the middle that don't move at all. They cause the putter to either bounce.. or just slip right through without the chains moving.

Jerm, if you want to practice Calvin's putt on hole 8 come to Immerloo park in Arnhem in the Netherlands. We have two holes on a dyke that is even steeper than this. I cannot count the number of times I've had to putt almost straight down into the basket.
