Have a TRX Ben. Had a Raptor R. Selling it. TRX is the nicer truck hands down. Fit, finish, materials, looks, sound…TRX all day and 2x on Sunday. Performance about equal. I’m a Ford guy at heart but the TRX won my heart. What a truck. Plus no more 6.2 Hemi after ‘23.

I have trouble deciding if I like the looks of the Raptor R more, or the TRX. I really like the almost stealth fighter jet, F-22 raptor rigid design that the Raptor R has. At the same time; I think the TRX has a more beefy, aggressive, pronounced look. The Raptor R is a dope truck, it’s sick BUT: I like everything about the TRX I have drove more. The interior screams luxury. There’s almost more leather, suede, platinum, stitching, carbon fiber, etc… than there is plastic. The infotainment system is very easy to navigate, while also holding very complex categories and information. It also looks very futuristic. People keep saying: “The Raptor R is faster 0-60.” My reply: Can we talk about how I did a 3.4 0-60 in the stock TRX, on a regular asphalt road? If you know how to use the launch control, and have it set to the right RPMs; you can bet on 3.5+ 0-60s. The modification options on the TRX are simply stated more available, and better. Ram bar? Sure. Extra bed spare? Yep. Undercarriage tire if you actually want one? You got it. The list goes on and on, the interior is even customizable to the brim. The Raptor R exterior looks sleek as hell, but something about the TRX just looks more aggressive. It’s excessively flared fenders, grill, hood-scoop, air vents, and even decals just yell impressive, and almost looks like a T-Rex. Not to mention you don’t have to pay extra for certain things you don’t get in the Raptor R. The list could go on, and on, but I already wrote enough. And after all of this; the TRX is still 20-40k less than the R (depending on your dealer). 98K in my case.

I hope I can get one. All TRX in Florida are the Havoc edition with massive mark up. The lowest mark up I ever see is $10k. . . Funny though how they pitch that the Havoc is very limited. However at this point of time there are more than 70 units allocated in dealerships in FL.

Can you share any more impressions of the tow mirrors vs the standard mirrors? Pro's and con's, features and trade-offs if any? There isn't much detail I can find on the web or YT and you review everything so well!

The tow mirrors have a full height vertical split blind spot mirror on the outter part of the mirror as seen in the driving portion of the videe, they also have a smaller marker light and flip up for towing………The “standard mirrors” have a smaller blind spot part on the top left of the mirror with a longer horizontal marker light and they don’t flip up. I’ve had both styles myself both on a 2020 Cummins (towing style) and now my 23 Lunar TRX (standard). Personally the standard mirrors fit the style of the TRX much better than the tow mirrors do

Former Ford guy here, ordered a 22 TRX Dec 2021 before the price hikes and got a killer deal. I think Ford over priced the 3.5 Raptor. The R and the TRX should be around the same price. Yes I know the R is fully loaded at 112k but you can get a base TRX for way less. Nice to have that option. I had ordered a 22 3.5 Raptor (35s) the first week of December at MSRP (worse deal) of the same year. Didn't come in until mid January of 23 (13 months) I passed on the raptor and kept the TRX that only took 35 days for me to take delivery of. I tried to get Ford to make it a 23 model year so I could flip it BUT since the truck had already been built and was just waiting for chips they refused. My dad has a 22 3.5, aside from the obvious power difference, my TRX feels way more luxurious and a much smoother ride. After back to back Ford trucks (king ranch and Gen 1 raptor, I'm not looking back. You won't either

I factory ordered from Granger (IA) Oct 21'. Price locked. Picked up our TRX less than 5mo. later. Paid $81k and MSRP was $94k (level 2/base wheels/carbon and red interior/no sunroof/no graphics)! Locally in AZ they were still asking 10-20k OVER MSRP for a factory order.

The digital dash cluster is neat, but I guess I am a little old fashioned, I like a needle for my RPM and speedo, which I know is so dumb because on both my Hellcat and my Rebel I keep the digital speedo up at all times but for whatever reason i just like the look better. Not that it matters, the TRX is out of my price range. Id have to sell both my Challenger Hellcat and my Rebel, and Id still come up short, thats a hefty trade off. A man can dream lol

Ben, no disrespect intended man, but it really feels like you're rushing these videos. I understand you release things every day, and there are only so many hours, and the life of a content creator is a hectic one. Totally get it, 100%. That said, there are quite a few times in this video where you try to cram so many words into a single breath as quickly as possible that I can't even understand what you say, and it definitely takes away from the viewing experience. I either have to go back and try to listen to you again, or just shrug it off and press forward. Regardless, it kind of leaves your viewer with the impression that you're too pressed for time and you have better things to do than speak clearly and create a nice viewing experience for them. Again, absolutely no disrespect intended. I just wanted to give you some honest feedback in hopes that it might make things better in the future for you.

Love almost every thing about this truck...except the minivan transmission and shifter they stuck on it. What a joke. Except at $107K, it's not really funny. It's actually kinda sad. This is an enthusiast truck that deserved a proper manual transmission. If it just HAD to have an auto, put the shifter back on the column where it belongs. That crap in the center console literally ruins the entire truck.

Dude. You get to test just about any vehicle you want for your job. Sell all your cars (gt) (392) and raptor and then you can buy a TRX or raptor r and have money left over for gas. It would make no sense, this things already too heavy for an off-roader a heavy FE block diesel over the nose & the stiff springs that come along w/ it- you could do a carli suspension setup on a regular Cummins 2500 & there ya go, I kinda wish it came w/ the n/a 6.2 or 6.4 @ a price point similar to a regular Raptor then I’d be interested, I can’t DD a truck that gets single digit mpg

@@freedomisntfree_44 my tuned 3.5HO Raptor is the perfect balance of power/performance/practicality - 442rwhp/491rwtq, been tuned like that for 40k miles no issues, 15mpg overall, I mean w/ a 93 octane tune the 3.5HO is making like 535-555hp & 590-615tq @ the crank, mid 12’s in the 1/4, its PLENTY quick/powerful

I get that they're fast, but I just don't get the appeal of the TRX. You can't do actual work with this truck, and it's ridiculously priced for what you actually get. I've seen a few of them around the town and they just look like 'roided out dude bros who bought it "for the gram."

The Raptor R and TRX are dead on power wise...however in the looks dept the exterior and interior of the TRX blows the Raptor R in the weeds it's not even close in my books...the TRX is the sexiest truck ever made IMO..

After two Raptors, now with 22' TRX daily.... it also has serious street cred and Kudo's from the RT/Scat/Hellcat crowd. Departing LA after a family vacation, TWICE in heavy traffic we had drivers/passengers honking/waving with thumbs up and motioning to (neutral) rev it. Our toddlers felt like celebrities from the back seat!
