Jack is doing such a great job! Thanks for keeping Jake's creation moving forward. It was a nice touch to see Jake's videos intertwined in the updated studio tour, it brought back good memories. Remy's comment about the feeling in the studio is so spot on. There is a Zen quality to simply being there when it's quiet and one can commune with the vibe left behind by our friend.

I realize now the rumor this place was shutting down, was accidental... but, I'm very happy to see this studio going strong. We all know Jake left his mark on our collective hobby. But with or without that great Reefer, the potential of the Reef Builder studio was and still is phenomenal. The space to show off different themes, keep so many various species, and test so many different brands; thats a combination few and far between. Keep up the awesome work guys

I had so many of Jake’s videos saved from before actually getting in the hobby and still watch them from time to time. (Reef Therapy too) He won my heart propagating and feeding corals on dives … and correcting Mark on coral names 😆🪸♥️ I agree with you wholeheartedly that he was just different. I think Remy, Mark & Raj are doing a phenomenal job carrying the torch despite occasionally getting beat up in the comments, lol, yet they handle it with amazing poise. I was a little sad to see the 15 year old black tang got rehomed although I think I understand, he was getting pretty big and probably getting aggressive. True capricornis don't have any tuberculae or papillae. 8:05 that's actually a Duncanopsammia peltata, not a Turbinaria 9:55 those are Dipsastraea rosaria, not Goniastrea. Goniastrea have smaller, pale corallites with strong paliform lobes. 11:33 Radianthus magnifica, not ritteri. 11:53 Acanthastrea hillae is a synonym of Homophyllia bowerbanki so it is an unaccepted name.

Well I know that reef builders has a new owner and from what I saw online it looks like they let Evan Montgomery go, I have no idea why I feel like he knew Jake so well and would have carried on Jake's work in a way that Jake would have been proud. Also just wanted to add that I'm not putting anyone down like Remy that has been doing a great job in my opinion I just don't understand why Evan had to be let go.

Super disappointed to hear that Evan was let go, if anyone knew what direction to take the RB studio - it would probably be Evan. Happy to see RB is still kicking but honestly it’s about content - not seeing much to hold interest here. Sorry to hear about Evan, but now the camera work is awful now. You do what you must in business and sometimes you have to burn bridges - but then you better find a replacement as good as or better than what you had. I’ll hang on for a bit, but I’m guessing you’re not going to thrive without offering or than this. Sounds like there was some damage control going on. Ok that happens. Perhaps share what the issues were with the tanks and what you did to solve them. Believe me I have been a huge fan of RB and want to see Jake’s legacy go on, so I hope my opinion will be taken as constructive. Good luck.
