The story of the ex showing up to the wedding has more info. After the post went viral, the bride was shown the post and she made a counter post explaining her perspective. The ex with the red dress is absolutely a crazy ex who is constantly trying to meddle in OP’s relationship. For one, the wedding was very intentionally *casual* with the bride’s dress barely being considered an actual wedding dress and the ex was VERY aware. Also, I don’t remember the exact details as it’s been a while since I heard the story, but it made perfect sense why the bride wasn’t expecting the ex to show up. It was made clear to her that she was not invited but the children were in the wedding, and because crazy ex had to drive them, she basically strong armed her ex husband into allowing her to go, but the bride protested and it was decided the ex should not stay for the wedding.

I CALLED IT. Why would you mention how it's your time with the kids And that's why you have to come if you were invited? "That was his reasoning" suuuuure If the dude wanted his ex to be around whenever he was with their kids she wouldn't be an ex. I had a dad who would use custody as a weapon against their ex and its disgusting.

Story 5 - “I felt sexually harassed by your private text messages I read on your phone while you were gone” 😂

@treymiller2275 11 ай бұрын
There have been prior vaguely related Reddit stories that I feel the cast kinda shit the bed when they speak on them. And this particular story is definitely being added to the imaginary list I'm unsure if it's because of that recent HR workplace seminar that Shayne spoke of, but their minds are kinda broken on this story and are way way way way way too keen to point out possible flaws of the OP and brush aside just how shitty of a person the co-teacher was.

@@treymiller2275 I get what you’re saying for sure, there have been certain opinions shared in older videos that frustrated me or seemed a little out of touch. But I don’t think it’s that deep in this case, they were genuinely not sure what to make of the fact that the OP kind of let the coworker fall into their trap. Ultimately though it’s extremely obvious OP did nothing wrong.

@@leonmalaga16I immediately thought of the same story. I couldn't finish that ep because Courtney kept implying he was a creep and I just noped tf out. This one was definitely milder. Yeah I definitely think that was what Shane was thinking about- how even if the coworker was Definitely in the wrong, you still shouldn't boobytrap someone into looking at a dick pic (kinda like the rules against boobytrapping food against lunch thieves). I think there was also some ambiguity in the first post where they weren't sure if the phone was left out with screen on/notifications showing, or if the coworker had unlocked the phone

For the second story, you should read the bride's side. She found the post, and the ex used her real name in the story prior to even showing the dress, so she knew it was about her. After reading the bride's side, there is so much the ex left out in an attempt to make her look better.

Besides the fetishization of lesbian s3x in the open marriage story, another added layer of ick for me is how the husband views sapphic relationships. He doesn't see relationships between two women as a serious or "real" thing, which is why he doesn't feel threatened by it. To him wlw relationships are inferior/not as valid as a relationship between a man & a woman. He views two women together as a source of entertainment or s3xual gratification for him. These are just objects to him & he doesn't see them as full grown human beings deserving of respect & dignity. It has multiple layers of homophobia & fetishization. I absolutely despise this narrative many men seem to participate in & it's unfortunately so common. A lot of people view this as these men being accepting towards sapphics/LGBTQ+ community, when in reality it's just homophobia wrapped in a pretty package.

This. Also, my first thought as a bisexual woman is: maybe she would fall deeper in with another woman and its more plausible for casual sex if she's only kicking with men? Lol cause that's how my brain works. If I'm dating a man and we open the relationship..and I date other women..we may really have a problem, whereas with men, I don't get emotionally involved as easily. So I'd probably have this pattern too. 😅

My partner and I (im a woman) were in a polyamorous "throuple" for several years, and it was always so irritating when the people she talked to would be flirty and pushy if she mentioned that she was poly... It was always the same scenario: "I have a girlfriend" was NEVER taken as a serious rejection, and usually the response was along the lines of "Ooh, that's hot. Anyway~", but the moment she mentioned having a male partner as well, SUDDENLY these dudes would get the message and back off. What was MORE irritating to me, personally, is the fact that in our weird little relationship triangle, it was me and her-- the two females-- who had been in an established relationship first, for several years, and we were LIVING TOGETHER, and we opened it up to the male third member later on (he was long-distance). Pretty infuriating that the Glorified Boy-Toy was respected more than the "Wife" (we used these terms in a casual joking manner all the time, mind you, we were quite comfortable in our three-way relationship lol)... not to mention how my partner was treated like a prize piece of meat in every single social circle simply because she was open to talk about her own sexuality and polyamory... Yeah. Big Society Ick.

The "father" in the 4th story is the worst for me. He knew the plan was risky and most likely made his ex-wife go along with it. She and their kids put a lot of trust in him that the plan would work out. The plan inevitability fell through due to his own actions or lack therof. When the time came for him to step up and take accountability for his actions, he blamed everyone but himself. I'm sorry, there's just no respect for someone like that. The thing about the duck video story is that op stated clearly that you can't see the lady's face and that she's mostly obscured by a hat. As a young woman, no matter who was taking that video, if all you see of me is my back I'm basically not in that video imo... To me that story sounds like two teens getting caught in the crossfires of one of those older people who get angry at most things really often, and even if op's response wasnt ideal it's such an inconsequential thing that I at least don't think warrants so much discussion

Ugh this a sounds like my ex’s mom to a T. You should look into enmeshed mothers or the toxic boy-mom trope. Often when a woman’s husband doesn’t fulfill her, she creates the “ideal husband” with her son and becomes subconsciously or consciously romantically emotionally invested in them. They subconsciously or consciously believe that they’re the best wife for their son, and nobody will be good enough for their “perfect man.” As someone who’s dealt with this, it’s honestly traumatizing and I wish you and your mom the best in your healing journeys ❤

Because we were not married, I would have no rights if we broke up. Guess what happened? We broke up and I didn’t have to feel regret that I paid towards his mortgage or any upgrades to the home. He accused me of free loading, but who cleaned after his lazy bum? And I mean he was LAZY! Who bought groceries? Who cooked? Those have value. Please do not recommend someone to coexist with an ex. That was such bad advice.

I had an experience with someone snooping through my phone for the weirdest reason. I was 16 and had just gotten a phone a few months prior. I had only used it to talk to my family, friends, and one boy from school that I had a crush on (nothing serious, just talking about school and movies). One night while staying over at a friend's house, I went to the bathroom and came out to see my friend's mom holding my phone, reading through it. When I asked what she was doing, she responded with, "Who is ____?" referring to the boy from school. I was so freaked out by the odd behavior, I said, "That's none of your business. Why are you on my phone?" She tried to give excuses about being a mother, but I shut that down by saying my OWN mother didn't invade my privacy like that. She laughed like she felt entitled to do it anyway. To this day, I don't understand why she thought that was appropriate, and I've even had MY mother back me up on that sentiment. Weird af.
