The story of the ex showing up to the wedding has more info. After the post went viral, the bride was shown the post and she made a counter post explaining her perspective. The ex with the red dress is absolutely a crazy ex who is constantly trying to meddle in OP’s relationship. For one, the wedding was very intentionally *casual* with the bride’s dress barely being considered an actual wedding dress and the ex was VERY aware. Also, I don’t remember the exact details as it’s been a while since I heard the story, but it made perfect sense why the bride wasn’t expecting the ex to show up. It was made clear to her that she was not invited but the children were in the wedding, and because crazy ex had to drive them, she basically strong armed her ex husband into allowing her to go, but the bride protested and it was decided the ex should not stay for the wedding.

He doesn't see relationships between two women as a serious or "real" thing, which is why he doesn't feel threatened by it. To him wlw relationships are inferior/not as valid as a relationship between a man & a woman. He views two women together as a source of entertainment or s3xual gratification for him. My partner and I (im a woman) were in a polyamorous "throuple" for several years, and it was always so irritating when the people she talked to would be flirty and pushy if she mentioned that she was poly... It was always the same scenario: "I have a girlfriend" was NEVER taken as a serious rejection, and usually the response was along the lines of "Ooh, that's hot. Anyway~", but the moment she mentioned having a male partner as well, SUDDENLY these dudes would get the message and back off. What was MORE irritating to me, personally, is the fact that in our weird little relationship triangle, it was me and her-- the two females-- who had been in an established relationship first, for several years, and we were LIVING TOGETHER, and we opened it up to the male third member later on (he was long-distance). Pretty infuriating that the Glorified Boy-Toy was respected more than the "Wife" (we used these terms in a casual joking manner all the time, mind you, we were quite comfortable in our three-way relationship lol)... not to mention how my partner was treated like a prize piece of meat in every single social circle simply because she was open to talk about her own sexuality and polyamory... Yeah. Big Society Ick.

The "father" in the 4th story is the worst for me. He knew the plan was risky and most likely made his ex-wife go along with it. She and their kids put a lot of trust in him that the plan would work out. The plan inevitability fell through due to his own actions or lack therof. When the time came for him to step up and take accountability for his actions, he blamed everyone but himself. I'm sorry, there's just no respect for someone like that. It’s very likely that their whole marriage was exactly like that, specially since he complains she always resists. The third stoy(the open relationship) is hilarious to me. They’ve said it multiple times that you only see the poster’s side of the story, which is usually skewed in favor of the poster. And yet, the GOOD side of the story paints him as an absolute piece of shit. I wonder the wife’s side of things.

Hearing the first story and their thoughts on it was something I was extremely thankful to hear today. I was not in a super similar situation, but it’s one where boundaries should have been set and feelings were hurt. It was really cool to hear their own reflections along with the op’s own and made me feel like maybe it was just one of those early 20’s situations where we both come out of it learning. Thank you!

@@rickyricardo9710This is kinda my thing too. I’m assuming the boyfriend knows she works around children, so why doesn’t the boyfriend just…wait until she gets off work? @@EStramel09 Well OP did state that they were on different time zones so I'm assuming they sext on their free time. OP said when she sends her S.O. text He's asleep so he probably responds when he wakes up and by that time OP is already at work. And if we apply that same logic by the time OP would be out from work the SO would be at work so he wouldn't be able to reply to her messages that would explain why he sends her sext even though he knows he works around kids, coz its a lot of work to keep track of each others time zones than just replying when you can

Ugh this a sounds like my ex’s mom to a T. You should look into enmeshed mothers or the toxic boy-mom trope. Often when a woman’s husband doesn’t fulfill her, she creates the “ideal husband” with her son and becomes subconsciously or consciously romantically emotionally invested in them. They subconsciously or consciously believe that they’re the best wife for their son, and nobody will be good enough for their “perfect man.” As someone who’s dealt with this, it’s honestly traumatizing and I wish you and your mom the best in your healing journeys ❤

Exactly. Also if a bride in a wedding asks you to leave you go. It’s not your day. Red is worse than white imo.
@HA-lg1lc11 ай бұрын
As the Ex, OP wearing red was 100% a choice. Bad enough that it was a WEDDING DRESS but red is well known as the "scarlet letter" or "other woman" color. Yes some people have no issue with it, but often those colors are for the wedding party and is the brides choice. A regular guest wearing a red wedding dress would be weird. An ex wife wearing a red wedding dress would be obnoxious.

As a duck lady myself I have had people take pics or videos of my feathered hoards. Last time a man was like “I hope it’s okay. Do you want me to send you the pics” and he sent me pics of me surround by ducks. I don’t know why you would have a problem with it.

We don’t know this person’s story, but as someone who works with unhoused people & victims of domestic vio!ence, stalking, sexu@l as$ualt, etc, there are lots of good reasons why it might be very important to someone not to be photographed/videoed. Sometimes their image being spread could be dangerous for them and their family. Again we have no idea if this is the case for this duck lady, but just offering a reason why some would react that way
@tag1more11 ай бұрын
Sure *you* dont have a problem with it but you aren't them. You dont know that person. Maybe they just wanted to feed some ducks and didn't intend for a hoard to gather, and now there is some rando taking pics and videos of them. They might also just be insercure about their image. Either way the decent thing to do would be to stop recording her or atleast getting some free editing software to censor her face/head.
@evelynvslife11 ай бұрын
@@tag1more if you feed ducks and don’t expect other ducks to turn up then you’re pretty silly. They’re animals and they’ll flock to easy food. And expecting someone to blur your image on a video for themselves where you aren’t the focus is ridiculous.

Best piece of advice my mother gave me when I moved in with my (now ex) bf was not to pay “rent,” not to pay for repairs, or whatever is permanent in a home he bought. Because we were not married, I would have no rights if we broke up. Guess what happened? We broke up and I didn’t have to feel regret that I paid towards his mortgage or any upgrades to the home. He accused me of free loading, but who cleaned after his lazy bum? And I mean he was LAZY! Who bought groceries? Who cooked? Those have value. Please do not recommend someone to coexist with an ex. That was such bad advice.

I had an experience with someone snooping through my phone for the weirdest reason. I was 16 and had just gotten a phone a few months prior. I had only used it to talk to my family, friends, and one boy from school that I had a crush on (nothing serious, just talking about school and movies). One night while staying over at a friend's house, I went to the bathroom and came out to see my friend's mom holding my phone, reading through it. When I asked what she was doing, she responded with, "Who is ____?" referring to the boy from school. I was so freaked out by the odd behavior, I said, "That's none of your business. Why are you on my phone?" She tried to give excuses about being a mother, but I shut that down by saying my OWN mother didn't invade my privacy like that. She laughed like she felt entitled to do it anyway. To this day, I don't understand why she thought that was appropriate, and I've even had MY mother back me up on that sentiment. Weird af.
