Attended the Salzburg Festspiele many years ago. Had arrived by plane in the late afternoon. Went to the all Tchaikovsky concert with the Vienna State Symphony in my travel jacket and half asleep. Still enjoyed it tremendously

Greek Passion is the only interesting piece and casting. The rest looks pretty subpar to me.

Cecilia Bartoli’s voice is starting to sound wild, ugly vibrato, not an attractive sound. I see most operas are concert performances. I think it’s best instead of those outlandish silly modern updated stagings.
