it looks really good but i think non-alternative hairstylists constantly get this wrong. the signature emo side swoop is commonly place at the side of the head swooping from on side of the head to the other in a feathered out way. not in the middle as this can give a Karen-like feel LMAO.

As an elder emo, I love it! I think the only way to make it better would’ve been a more drastic part for the swoop. But it’s come a long way from when I was using a shaving razor and safety scissors 😅

Well done, usually the emo/scene cut is so hard for stylists to get right. Why idk ?? Also the stylist might be a millennial so she must have remembered the scene in the early 2000's

This is cute, but not emo or scene at all. The first half of the video was perfect. It shows all the cute points in the front. It shows the hair going from short to long, which is exactly what emo hair does. It goes from short on top and in front and gets longer as you go in back and underneath. Also, emo hair is combed forward, towards the face, like in the first part of the video. In emo hair, you take all the hair in front of the ears and style it forward. You then use products to make sure it stays that way. The signature look of emo hair is layers on top juxtaposed with longer layers underneath in back. That's the defining feature of what emo hair is. Once you chop off the underneath layers in the back, it's no longer emo. It's now just an edgy bob. She's going to need to purchase extensions to get actual emo hair. Also, the hair in final result is brushed away from the face, which is the opposite of emo hair. You can literally see the stylist's hands repeatedly bending and pulling the face framing layers away from her face?! It just goes to show you that the grand majority of hair dressers STILL don't care enough to do a real emo haircut. They do what they want with your hair and expect you to like it.
