2023 Shark SUPs Range Overview & Updates

I have just received my 12foot Touring Shark board. 6" deep and 32" wide. I am 6.1 and 107Kg in weight. I am also a beginner having only done this once before and become hooked immediately. I have been out on the board today for the first time on her and it is brilliant. You can really motor along and it feels great under foot. As you can imagine, I am still getting used to the balance factor of SUP but I feel stable on the board and this will only get better, I did not fall in once over 1.5 hrs so that must say something. Stop tensing the legs Andrew. For the price I am VERY please with the board. Hope this helps someone.

I too am slightly over 100kg and struggled with the 10 ft 6in board my boys use . Now got a 12 footer. Stood up and travelled for the first time last week! Really chuffed! Get the right size guys. Age no barrier to this sport as long as your knees are Ok and you get a good electric pump. Love the videos as I am local to the locations filmed.

What about their surf sup range? I was ready to pull the trigger on a JP surfair se 3ds and after this video I was intrigued by Shark's surf sup 9.2.Your view etween the two for flat-surf (50-50) use ?

Oooo good question. We were quite impressed with the Shark SUP 9'2 surf. It would suit higher weight riders -80kg better than the JP-Australia SurfAir which is best for heavier riders. Hope this helps. Thanks, Beau

Still, their website does not mention the new models. The performance allaround is not available through the sellers either. But after watching this review I've just ordered a touring model (at a very good price) for my daughter - let's see how it goes :-)

The new base for the Shark sup board is a Quick fix quick-release fin that is almost impossible to lose, this is a consumer deception, on the 7th day of the alloy I lost a fin on 04.14.2024. On the same day, I met people who have Shark glanders with this system and they said that they also lost a fin on an alloy last year. Do not buy glanders with this system.

It’s not single use plastic and you can’t use composite boards for everything. We have a big enough fight with single use plastic first 😊

@@ccmjonnyh8187 I agree!, I am sure you are aware that there are over more then 100 brands of inflatable SUP's easy. Most of the boards if not, all, are produced in China. They don't use recyled materials there, it's too expensive importing and shipping it back to china. So if there are less (new) brands /products the initial plastic soup is reduced. Composite is even more poluting and harder to recycle.
