I just bought a new 2022 LTZ in December. The 23s are just a carryover. Anyway, love it. It has all the features plus adaptive cc and the multi-pro tailgate that the 2019 High Country I had. Although, the 19 had the 6.2l motor, which was awesome, I didn’t like that I had to put premium fuel in it. It’s a really awesome motor. So, in the current truck, I have the tried and true awesome 5.3l. I added a pedal commander and the acceleration is about the same as the 6.2l. I think I have finally found the truck I will keep and enjoy. This is my seventh Silverado and this one is a keeper. Love the new screens and digital gauges. The 360 video surround, rain sensing windshield wipers, intellibeam, sprayed in factory bed liner. Although GM decided to do away with 12V outlets. There are no 12V plug-in outlets, only usb and household outlets. I’m not sure why, but I still love this truck.

That sounds like a sweet truck! The 360 camera especially is fantastic on GMs, and I’m glad the 5.3 is serving you well after owning the 6.2! I’m excited for you going forward in your LTZ! 🙂

Going from a 2004 Silverado work truck to a 2020 Silverado work truck ... at my work. The visibility out of these newer trucks is terrible with the high hoods. Sometimes it seems like the car manufactures are going backwards and not forwards!

That’s absolutely true! Some of these changes though could be due to the now necessary safety features and hard points in vehicles. Or it may just be as going backwards, like we sometimes do over the years lol. 😅 Thanks for watching!

Not to mention shorter depth seats, a cab that's smashed into the engine compartment so you can't work on and not even a bedliner.

The 5.3 (327 CI small block) is all you need, the 6.2 is nice and all but thats more of a romance, the 327 can be as powerful as a big block when tuned up

@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 curious how it compares power and acceleration wise to the 5.3.

They could have kept a lot of console space with a conventional or push button shifter. The knob seems goofy

It will only be a matter of time people will see that the 2.7 just like the 6 are junk.

I am interested to see what the aftermarket grows to on the 2.7 platform as it will be the powertrain of the new Colorado/Canyon! But if I was planning to keep the truck long term I’d probably opt for a non boosted bigger displacement offering. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Absolutely! The 6.2 is a beast of an engine. A much more capable but also plain amusing engine to enjoy. 🙂

@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 no. The ZR2 is the only Silverado worth the 70K price tag.
