I had my 765 rs tuned with russ. Power commander, sparkit headers, scorpion can and link pipe. K&N air filter. Blank off plates fitted. Max power just short of 132bhp. Top man is russ 👍👍👍👍

Ah nice one! That's good results. Is that the previous model? These are certainly still hindered by Euro 5 restrictions not being able to get 100% throttle throughout the rev range. Not tried it on track again since the tune, but it's quite the improvement throughout the rev range, certainly on road anyway. Wasn't exactly bad before, but way more responsive now. Thanks for watching.

Hi thanks for the video answered some questions however I recently had a full Spark system would you recommend having a map as from the video it didn’t really state it was required
@twistandgo3414
@twistandgo3414 4 ай бұрын
You don’t HAVE to get it mapped, but obviously to get it to run perfectly, it’s advised for the best it can be. The auto tune worked well with the rapidbike but it’s not 100% either so a custom tune on a dyno would Always be recommended to get it spot on. Hope that helps.

So how exactly the tuning works? Does it completely disable the real time auto tuning feature of the Rapidbike, or it finetunes mapping but still there is auto correction done in the background? Are Rapidbike tune shops harder to find thatn the classic Power commander? Trying to decide between the two for a 690 smcr.
@twistandgo3414
@twistandgo3414 3 ай бұрын
Yeah, fuelling is manually adjusted in the rapidbike and saved with auto tune turned off. The bike is taken up through the rev range in increments and fuelling checked at each stage and adjusted to give the ideal Air / Fuel ratio throughout the whole range. Autotune did work and if you hadn’t anything to compare to would think it was working fine. Once on the dyno from memory, first run with auto tune was 123/125bhp, which isn’t bad but a few manual adjustments gained another 3bhp (not much really) but the bike feels much crisper and more responsive as a result. The problem in this case with the latest 765 is that you’re not getting 100% throttle throughout the entire rev range due to the tuning within the ecu of the butterflies, so lower down you’re possibly only getting 75% throttle even though its wide open until these can also be adjusted to suit by flashing the ecu. I went with the rapidbike as at the time it was the only tuning module available that had auto tune, so it suited me until I could get it set up correctly (better than not running a tune with a full exhaust system fitted). As for preference, I would go with whatever tuning shop was closer, I knew better or was more readily available. Performance wise I doubt there is much between Rapidbike or Power commander but I’m no expert and I’m sure one specialist tuner has their take on it based on their preference. Russ at UK Race support is an official Dynojet Tuner so that was his preference but they did the Rapidbike for me. Now having a power commander available, I would probably go down that route as that’s his speciality. Hope that helps.

I found this video really helpful. From your experience, what's the best mod to get bang for your buck (on a budget) taking a stock Striple RS to the track? did you get 12hp just from changing the end can or from end can plus decat & dyno tune? keep the videos coming. I'm on your journey ;-)
@twistandgo3414
@twistandgo3414 Жыл бұрын
12bhp was purely between standard bike to fitting spark headers and end can of choice, plus the rapidbike module with autotune and giving it a good thrash round Donington Park. That's it. So only 2bhp gain over the autotune really after custom tuning with the mhp can to 127bhp or a touch more with the akra. Biggest difference is in the response of the bike now off the throttle. Much more responsive by comparison. Bit like comparing when you rode the bike in Road mode to Track mode the very first time. Yes, every dyno is different but the 250i has the same size and weight of drum from the factory so shouldn't be THAT drastically different!? . I am planning on going back to my original standard bike dyno place to compare dyno's next at some stage to put that Internet comparison to bed too! Curiosity is worth it! Thanks for watching and commenting and welcome aboard!

just to clarify then, spark headers + end can (mine is also Spark Evo) and a Rapid Tune Evo module (with self learn enabled) will be perfectly adequate for road riding, however, a dyno tune will give it a tweak and crisper response. Is that correct? I'm looking for good mid-range response rather than top end performance. Thanks

Not too bad to be honest. I do find I keep the revs slightly higher but it’s certainly an issue. Very low rpm range from tick over to around 3-4K Revs is where he was struggling to get it mapped 100% due to the restricted range of the O2 sensor but not an issue for me and you really have to be looking for it to notice it. The bike is happier 3K revs and up anyway but idles totally fine. Notice it more with the A/F sensor and dyno than on the road and with the throttle.

Would you recommend Rapidbike tuner over Power commander? On the Dynojet website, I can only see that it’s compatible with 2024 Street Triple R and not RS, and it looks like it comes with 2 set of stock maps I guess, correct me if I’m wrong. The stock tune of the R is lesser than RS, so im a little confused as to whether i should go with PC6 + auto tune module or go with rapid bike? What’s your experience with Rapidbike tuner and is the auto tune module extra with Rapidbike tuner as well? There’s not a lot of content on tuning the new 2024 765RS on KZbin, so I was hoping you could shed some light on what I need to exactly do if I’m getting a full system exhaust. PS: I have the new 2024 Spark full system on order.

In honesty, I'd recommended whoever is closer to getting a custom tune done on it really. The rapidbike has autotune facility on it when you plug all the bits in. Guessing the power commander is very similar, they generally are, or you might have to install a different O2 sensor to suit, but that's not difficult. As far as I'm aware, the 765R is just a different tune to the RS. They have the same engine as you'll know so it's just a software tweak. Whether the RS or R can be tuned for the same output im not sure. It's not currently possible to get the bike throttle bodies to go 100% open throughout the whole rev range as the ecu still has some control unfortunately. Fingers crossed, Woolwich tuning can crack the ecu soon and release the beast within. Mine is just shy of 130bhp at the wheel (as most seem to be that have been tuned and full system fitted) , but there is definitely more within! That said, it's brilliant now as it is, but a touch more is always good! Good luck, enjoy! and thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.

That's a very high dyno figure with just an exhaust, I'd bet a different dyno would give you far less.. When did they last calibrate it????
@twistandgo3414
@twistandgo3414 Жыл бұрын
It's quite ball park power wise for the bike. Others have had similar for the same year and model. Don't forget that's a tuned figure. And it's still less than some older models and more than others. Torque Tune Dyno is an authorised and official (and well respected) dynojet dyno centre so their stuff is as up to date as any other other mainstream dyno centre which is exactly why I went there. Likewise, UK race support are well known for their involvement so no reason to suspect it's an inflated figure.
