The nerve of them, of any car manufacturer, to lock a feature behind a monthly subscription. Did no one learn from the backlash of the on disk DLC a decade ago? Its trash and predatory.

Toyota went all in on hybrids and has been playing catch-up with EVs. Subaru doesn't have enough R&D budget to develop their own and is partially owned by Toyota so they just rebadged a bZ4X. There are some interesting design decisions, among those the lack of frunk and the oddly-placed gauge cluster with that long ramp up to it. This car was to check a box. It looks fine outside, the cladding is a bit much but it looks like a Subaru crossed with a Rav4. It's adequate. I like the first-person driving camera.

You could review my Intrepid. It's special because it's a 2.7 that still runs great with 271,000 miles. It's a miracle.

This and the bz4x really reminds me of the weird suvs from the late 90s and 2000s that people didn't really want back then. Especially the Solterra, since i think of it as a second attempt at making something between the ascent and the forester. So i have very high hopes for the tribeca ev-i mean solterra

Am waiting several years to a time an EV can give me 500 miles in a full charge just like my full tank 200 odd miles is not for me, nice looking car though just want longer range so will wait for that day ohh and when they don’t cost 10 grand over a petrol is another thing

Its a great first attempt. Take it for a test drive and you’ll be a believe. The wheel recall is a non-issue. Range could be better but drives no different than my Ascent believe it or not. Exactly what you expect from Subaru. Boring but Practical.
