@@thodoris3790 I do feel some heat , mostly on the right side oddly, but it never becomes unbearable. Vibrations in the pegs are most prominent in the lower gears at higher RPM's. To be expected I'd guess.

I've had the chance to finally see Honda's new Transalp in person here in Germany and I liked it better on video than in person. Seeing your vid now convinces me that my money is on the Suzuki. Somehow the looks with the new gen headlight design works. The websites and pic dont do this bike justice. Your vid does though. Cool vid! Thanks!

@@slakk5093 :) I finally got to sit on one during a brief trip to a suzuki dealership near one of my clients, on my way back home. It was sitting next to the 1000 Vstrom and it looked like the 1000 had a lower seat height. I've a short inseam so I would definitely opt for whatever lower seat option available.

How is it's heat management~ I've seen in reviews that it runs a little hot & cooks you legs. I hope not, because I really want one of these.
@powersportssteve
@powersportssteve Жыл бұрын
I've only put about 40 miles on one, but I don't think it's anything to talk about really. I also had shorts on. I could feel some heat, but I wouldn't say it's something that I would be thinking about in terms of whether to buy one or not. When riding in shorts most bikes provide a little heat to the legs. Haha I just rode a HD Dyna with a big bore kit and it almost cooked me to the bone on a 6 mile ride lol

Rear pegs, Welded instead of screw in? Hope you never drop it. Does it have a quickshifter up and down? Slipper clutch? Traction control? Standard and cornering abs? Rear radar? Touch screen? Bluetooth? Cruise control? Heated grips and heated seat? This is a direct competitor to the CFMOTO 800 so hopefully it has all those things also.
@vtrack1963
@vtrack1963 Жыл бұрын
I see it is a competitor also at least on paper… Who is going to pay $10,499 plus fees for a Chinese bike? On paper the CFMoto beats it everywhere except off pavement. A CFMoto dealer will tell you the engine (and much of the engineering) are KTM - that doesn’t inspire reliability confidence. I have seen both bikes in person and sat on both. I’m 6’2” and both bikes appear to be comfortable. The CFMoto Ibex 800T is ready to ride without adding anything except luggage boxes. The 800DE is $11,349. It has tube tires and no cruise control. It does have an excellent electronics package. It also has great ergonomics. I have yet to find anyone that doesn’t consider it immediately reliable. I have both bikes available locally, and am likely to buy the 800DE Adventure at $12,999 plus fees. I see it as a great value and totally reliable. If the CFMoto were$8500 I might risk it. Disclosure: I currently have a VStrom 1000XT that I bought new and have 33,000 miles on it. I’m keeping it. It has been totally reliable. Also have a WR250R which has also been totally reliable. I’d really like a KTM 890 Adventure, BUT can’t get there because of perceived reliability.

Motor, suspension, tft info-awesome.. why a step backwards with tubed rims? and no cruise is just ridiculous in today's market...IDK if I'd really feel I've upgraded my Wee to loose tubeless wheels for suspension, parallel motor and a few electronic modes... roadside/trailside flat repair is a thing and it's a B#T@H with tubes...
@powersportssteve
@powersportssteve Жыл бұрын
If you rode it, you would instantly see a difference. I agree on the cruise, could care less about the tube thing though. You should ride one if you are interested. I've had one flat on the street with thousands upon thousands of miles logged.
