I get what your saying about just a plain black suit Superman and yes the guns and bandoliers would have been awesome. But to say boring. Nah far from it he's definitely one of the most fun to pose figures in my collection especially if we talking Superman figures.

Boring in the sense that it’s the most basic look for an otherwise suped up character from a classic storyline

Being the son of a hair stylist this may sound like sacrilege but I do like the super-mullet(mullet-of-steel?). It’s no King Superman pope hat but it works on him very well.

There's apparently a rumor/leaked that I heard that we're going to get a recovery suit Superman in a 2 pack with Cyborg superman by Mcfarlane toys soon I am stoked on getting that just so that I can complete my reign of supermen team from the comics yo.
