No 😢 we've been sick since New Years. I'm going crazy....my mind is on 1000 with the amount of things I'm motivated to do but my body is telling me no go lol. Im copying the second im better number one is my youngest ones room....I like this pull everything out into a pile and one by one assess route....looks tiring but refreshing.

Another great job Mom! The real disservice is allowing your kids to grow into adulthood thinking this way of life is ok. Kids have to learn these life skills so they need to be taught. It's an act of love to teach them how to be self-sufficient and be able to carry these lessons into adulthood. Giving her the big girl desk was a great idea. I'm sure she will appreciate that! This is such a gift. You’re giving your daughters a gift of a clean tidy “reset”. And I know your eldest will love her new desk! Let’s hope she cares for and respects it with some guidance from you. The best thing you can do is lead by example and practice what you preach. They are watching and learning. Also, your thoughts about physical clutter and mental clutter are right on. If you’re overstimulated and overwhelmed, they are too. Kids do not need 47 toys. They need a few favorite items to love and treasure. The rest should be up to imagination. Also, I was a little freaked out by the toddler dolls, not gonna lie. Did not know that was a thing. 😂Lastly, your personal goals and mine are very similar. I left social media (except KZbin) so that I can connect with people in real life and cut out distractions. I kept KZbin cause I can learn a lot about a lot of things from it. One thing I am learning about is budgeting and debt payoff. Check out Kumiko the Budget Mom if you haven’t yet. She’s great!

Hey there yeah so for the other video with your kids room …been there done that and when I was that age my mom kept telling me if you don’t start keeping it up I’m gonna come in here and throw it all away !!! I agree we didn’t have enough. Her desk drawers helped and I did end up adding more clothing drawers to her closet. She wanted the storage in there so we kept to the plastic drawers but I got new ones last night.

The room looks beautiful! I raised 2 kids & what they really used a lot was bookcases. They can put all their books, & things they create & get from school & friends on it. You might want to get one for her. Also, I know if kids have trash cans they are more likely to aim at the can instead of the floor.

I did this a month ago. I got it all out. Felt huge guilt. But the girls have kept their room clean ever since. Plus we have started a new routine by cleaning up their room every night like pick up, sweep, ect. And they are proud of their room and its clean and orderly. Sometimes now their room is cleaner than the rest of the house 🤣

As someone who lived in a small house, having thing she manageable is so important. I’m working on getting things organized and everything having a spot. I also need to figure out a solution for my kids room, which is the biggest challenge.

It’s a struggle. The cube organizers didn’t last for us and totes that are to big. I think the wall shelves are nice and maybe long shallow bin that can go under the bed. But I get it . I have tried so many things, I have just seen less is more until they can manage

We had limited space when our kids were home. We added a 2nd rod in the closet. It doubles the space & we had a half bed with dresser drawers built in the frame. It helped so much. Sometimes you find them at thrift shops. You're inspiring!!!

I commented on the last video about how my kiddos are now older, but I did the same when they were younger. I actually had them keep 2 totes of toys (each) & 1 tote (each) went to the garage for storage for 3 months, then switched. This way they played with what they had & it was like new the next time they saw it. 🤣

The room looks amazing! ❤Great job! I would suggest a real dresser in place of the cube organizers and plastic drawers. I feel like ppl are always selling them for pretty affordable prices on Facebook marketplace and they can usually be sanded and painted to go with the design of the room. Real dressers make such a difference. I would also suggest you both looking through that save bin in about 6 months to see what she hasn’t played with and is willing to get rid of.

Oh definitely she sometimes pulls a baby doll out to play with but it’s all baby dolls basically. They are large life size kind lol. I wanted the real one to. I really wanted an under storage bed like my husband and I have but they are expensive. She also decided she wanted the storage still kept in the closet so I went and got 2 and stacked them up so there are more drawers. She doesn’t like to hang things so I’m like as long as you can put it somewhere to stay clean lol

Your last video I did do a deep clean for all my kiddos. And had them clean with me too. But I get you. I used to think like that too. Always felt like it's on me and I'm lazy. Sometimes I also think my habits are growing on them too. Because I'll do this one deep clean each week and tackle everything I can all in one day. Then next few days light cleaning and then back again to the same cycle. I've noticed they clean and do the same. They'll clean a deep clean once a week and then kind of let it go following days.

Hello, I've watched only couple of your videos. I think you're really hard working and care for your family. I just wanted to say that your daughter needs much more storage to put her belongings, otherwise it'll always end up in mess. You could consider getting her some shelves between the bed and the desk also some hanging shelves over the desk and some desk organisation. Also from looking at the room layout seems to me better would be to swap the bed and the desk. The room would have more flow and it would be cosier. Anyway all the best.

You have beautiful hardwood floors ~ I bet you prefer to be able to see them 😉 When you mentioned anxiety and how so much in life the last few years has been " out of our control" and how that can add more stress to us I wholeheartedly agree! When I first began having panic attacks I soon realized it was not helped by the fact I felt like I had no control over things happening Then one day after I had a full on panic attack while starting to putting away my clean laundry.... I sat there on the floor, feeling weak after it passed .. then I told myself " I admit there's so much I cannot control. However, I can control how neat and orderly this sock drawer is..." So I pulled everything out and threw away the old holey socks and stuff I never wore. Put back in the stuff I wanted a d closed the drawer After that, I joked to myself when I felt panicky ..". Well I can control my drawers!". And it helped to laugh a bit, even stopped a few panic attacks from getting really going... Life is full of stuff we can't control.... But we women, we can control our drawers 😉

I agree girl. I have been in the same situation I check to make sure I’ve eaten things suitable to vitamin intake, drank enough water, slept, and do the ungodly anxiety tasks in my home like vacuum and mop and do all the laundry sink feel more accomplished too.

I threw away like 20 things I was just going to hold on to because I would use it in the future...like 3 years from now.
