Traded my 2021+Venza Hybrid Limited on a 2024 Highlander Limited gas with turbo. The gas with turbo is much quieter. No CVT whining. Since Toyota is using this engine on the heavier gas Grand Highlander, I’m not worried. If that’s anyone’s concern, get the Toyota warranty. My dealer wanted $ 2,000 for the 100,000 mile warranty. Zero deductible.

At least a 2023 Highlander platinum four-cylinder turbo gas engine. It’s no more noisier than a hybrid four-cylinder. The car has amazing power. Highly recommended Toyota did amazing things by cutting the omissions by 50% and Toyota had reliability and resale

The turbo charger was a no for me wish they kept the v6 bullet proof engine that turbo charger wont last that long. Honda won me over with the new pilot still keeping that tried and true V6. Love the video though.

I can’t get over the fact that for all that money, you have to hear a buzzy 4 cyl under the bonnet. This might sound crazy but if they stuck a bigger displacement 3cyl turbo engine that sounds WAY better, dare I say it sounds like a V6, people really wouldn’t miss the V6 since that engine have the power and the sound……..heck they could couple it with a battery pack for more power and efficiency. Nissan did it with their rouge suv 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Nice SUV, however, it is very noisy and I don't care for the turbo 4 cyl engine. It only gets 1 mph more than the older 6 cyl. engine. I prefer the older 6 cyl. version of the Highlander, not nearly as noisy. Maybe the hybrid version would be more quiet. I'd be interested in a review of the 2023 Venza.

I just bought a 23 xle and my other cars are an audi s5 2016 and a gmc SUV piece of shit. The audi and highlander are conspiring to toss the gmc , giant mound of crap , off a cliff. The xle and s5 love each other and complement each other nicely

Blah ,blah , blah. When I drive my V6 , 70 MPH , the RPM are around 2300 . With 4 cyl. and the same speed RPM will be about 6 000 RPM . And you trying to tell me the 4 cyl , does'nt matter with turbo BS , or without , will last long miles ? Dont be naive. BMW s got their lesson already.

I just traded in my 2020 Highlander XLE for the new 2023. I was concerned about the 4 cylinder turbo but I can tell you, after driving for about 2 weeks, this engine is much more enjoyable to drive. The additional torque make a huge difference for everyday driving. RPMs at 80 mph are about 2100. It's also very quiet while cruising on the highway. Overall, I like the change.

Ha ha the 2.4 turbo stays at 1700 rpm at 70mph. It seems you havent driven the 2.4 turbo yet. It’s true a little but noisy when you drive from the start but when it gets to 3rd gear it!s already quiet. It is more responsive too then the V6. Although I like the V6 due to it’s proven reliability but i find it more fun to drive with the 2.4 turbo
