Hey, Brock! I can't believe just how often I come across one of these cool little SUVs! I have several friends who've made the switch from mid-size or larger SUVs to this model. I haven't heard a single negative comment on this model ever. Another great review, my friend.

Great review! Very thorough. One note on the sign recognition, it's great for people like me who have a knack for missing speed limit signs. Sign recognition displays the speed limit on the instrument cluster... upper center of the screen. Also, I love that you're sporting the Buc-ee's shirt. 😁

I tradded my 2011 Kia Sorento for a 2022 RAV4 Hybrid. I now have over 8k miles of experience with it. The Toyota doesn't corner as well, nor are the seats as comfortable on long trips as the Kia, but it is new, gets twice the MPG, and the long-term resale value is higher.

Try CUSCO Strut Bar. You won't have a cornering issue. And I agree on seat comfort. I had to put on aftermaket seat cover..

Decent review enjoyed it . I don’t agree with your comment on the Lexus being superior. I test drove the Lexus nx the Lexus’s equivalent. 1. The steering is stiff not as easy to turn . 2.The visibility is not very good narrow windows . 3.The front seats had very tight side bolsters 4. It tighter inside and rear head room is less . Trunk seemed smaller . I’m pretty sure it gets les mpg. . Only 1 thing I’d say the Lexus has as advantage is sound deadening maybe has thicker windows . One the things used make Lexus superior was made in Japan factory but now so are many the rav4 hybrids . Just my opinion . But I respect everyone has one. .good review though and you really hit in a lot things others don’t ! So kudos

Considered this for my daughter as a college graduation gift. Regrettably, the Dallas/Ft Worth dealerships continue to add “market adjustments” and other “dealer added” items, pushing the price 10-15K over MSRP. We were able to get a new Lexus UX hybrid F-sport handling/completely loaded with extended warranty for significantly less than the RAV4. They’re different cars- no question, but I could not justify the RAV4 pricing.

That is absolutely amazing! I have no idea how any Toyota dealer could justify a markup to a Lexus price! In the long run I think you’ll enjoy the Lexus vehicle and experience better than the Toyota. Both amazing vehicles but Lexus is definitely superior. Thank you for contributing to the conversation!

@@HowToCarGuy Yes- I was shocked. One can pull up some of the Dallas Toyota dealerships and see the Rav hybrids are $45K- the UX hybrid was $42K

@@billyrock8305 I’m not sure how you consider a car gifted to a college graduate (and childhood cancer survivor) being a helicopter parent? She drove a hand me down Tacoma throughout high school and college, while working part time. She also graduated Magna Cum Laude and has landed a great job. If this is being a helicopter parent, I guess it’s worked.

The car looks like it will be outdated soon. Fashions change. Are there many people who will buy the car because of towing capacity and kayaks on top? And then accelerate very rapidly in sports mode? Or is it just one of those wannabe overpowered cars stuck in daily traffic?

No acceleration in sport mode or kayaks on top of my XSE hybrid.......NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!!!! lol BUT not outdated by any chance either.
