In this 2023 Toyota Sequoia review, I'll tell you if this large full-size SUV is ready to make its mark. I'll give you a tour of the new Toyota Sequoia 2023 model year. We'll take a look at how this stacks up to other large SUVs like the Chevy Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and the Ford Expedition. The model I tested here is the 2023 Toyota Sequoia Capstone. However, you have a few other trims including the SR5, Limited, Platinum, and the most popular - the 2023 Toyota Sequoia TRD Pro - which is more off-road focused.
The Sequoia 2023 drops the V8 engine of the last gen and goes for a twin-turbo V6 making 437-hp. Not only does it have more power, but It's got more torque and more towing capacity. The Yukon Denali doesn’t have massaging seats either, until the new Ultimate version comes out. I like the Sequoia, but think they missed the mark on practicality with that cargo area and legroom. Definitely think the Denali is the more premium ride! Good video!

@@matthewalexis its just the wagooner has a higher price than its rivals otherwise wagooner is a yukon sequoia tahoe suburban and expedition rival. Yukon denali is just a normal full size suv that has a high end trim .its the grand wagooner that rivals the escalade and navigator .

I had been planning on getting a 4WD Capstone. Then I found out it doesn't have a center diff like its predecessor. I've been driving nothing but Toyotas with a center diff and I love that 4WD-auto. Now I have to figure out if I'll miss having it and can get by with just part time 4WD. For reference, I live in Minnesota where it snows a lot and use 4WD in those conditions. What do you think - will I be ok with just part time 4WD?

Being the new kid on the full size block, Toyota seriously needed to introduce an independent rear suspension that would not only make the vehicle drive better but would have drastically improved 3rd row comfort. Furthermore the fuel consumption estimates are disappointing, especially when you take into consideration current fuel prices at the pump. If any one can produced a more fuel efficient full size SUV it is Toyota and yet they, in my opinion, took a very light approach to it: it is not that much more efficient than the Lexus LX600 which uses a non hybrid power train.

Toyota was buying their sweet time streamlining their models… that chassis is shared with 3 other ladderframe vehicles while that engine is shared with 4 other vehicles (the same 3 vehicles + the lexus LS),,, Coz they definitely released the tundra, landcruiser, LX and finally the Sequoia in very quick successions, its relative speed of release only hampered due to covid. Now we just have to wait the next 5-7 years to see if this strategy plays off in terms of sales.

I'm sorry I know you're not going to like this Toyota but I test ride all the full size SUVs this year and what I did test ride the all new Jeep Grand Wagoneer I have never seen a SUV with so much luxury Beyond Range Rover Cadillac Escalade it has everything you can imagine when it comes to luxury and it rides so air ride smooth I think the new Jeep Grand Wagoneer is the best full size SUV in the world💖

I like the New Tahoe and Escalade. They are fine as Taxis/Executive use with proper scheduled maintenance. Everyday heavy use (family use) the GM will start to disintegrate especially models made after 2007. I'm taking the Landcruiser with the Lexus engine any day of the week....

Exterior and front row is beautiful, rear cargo area is an absolute joke, storage space is non-existent with rear seats in use, not to mention load height for that second tier storage space..... No 4auto mode kinda sucks too, especially for city use in winter, where tight turning and changing surface driving conditions- dry/ice/snow exist Fan boy dedication is next level here, already talking about "reliability" on something not even released or proven yet.....🙄 I'd still consider buying one though, but im not naive enough to think it won't have issues....much like my "bulletproof" 2016 Tundra in the shop by 6000km.....🤣🤣🤣
