I have a 2023 TRD Sport, I went with a KO2 in 265/70R17 at about 2,000 miles. Went with the "C" rated RWL outside.

I went with Yokohama X a/t 265/70/17 on my ‘18 trd sport. They look great, ride smooth and quiet. Zero rubbing issues.

I went with the 265/70r17 as well. I still have the front air dam, and mud flaps on. No rubs or scrubs. As far as the psi goes. On road. Just run the psi recommended on the door panel plate. Off Road. Depends on what you're doing.

I put a 265/70r17 falken wildpeak on my factory trd sport rim it’s a 2023 Tacoma and at full lock it almost rubs on the upper control arm I was wandering if yours was close to rubbing there too
@TRDTalk2 ай бұрын
@@braxtonsullivan3495 I mean it’s relatively close yah but haven’t noticed any rubbing or concerns

Does the tire hit your upper control arm? Have you had any rubbing issues with your stock pro rims? I plan on going same tire size soon and worried they won’t fit!

I got the same exact truck as you with same rims. I don't like the chrome on the rims to much. Are you thinking of getting some black rims for it?

I had KO2’s on my Tacoma and Toyo AT3’s on my Subaru. After experiencing both extensively I actually like the Toyo’s way more. The difference wasn’t big enough to cut the life of the KO2’s short but once they wore out I put a new set of AT3’s on my Tacoma.

I have almost the exact same Sport in Lunar Rock...mine is the short bed though. I hope you stay with this topic. So far you're addressing ALL my concerns. Glad you went a bit bigger (better you than me:) to clear that issue and will be back to see how it goes for rubbing with more aggressive terrain or bumps. I'll be interested in the max MPG hit if any? The UCA stock leaves very little room for any more width...I was concerend if the aggressive sidewall added any more width over the Defenders. My other option was my old standby of Michelin M&S with a more tame tread much like the Defenders but better rated in every clategory. Thanks for this intro to reviews that may follow!

Thanks for checking out the video Dan, glad I could address some concerns! I THINK i’m in the clear for rubbing on both the UCA and Mud Flaps, but I need to stress test on some harder terrain. I’m experiencing a slight MPG hit but I believe my PSI levels being off impacted that more so I need to test that out again. I’ll be sure to stick with this topic :)

Thanks for the breakdown on the new plus size tires. Looks great btw. Just about to do the same on my trail edition. also going with a new wheel, 16x8, 0 offset, 4 lbs lighter than stock to compensate for the slightly heavier AT tire. Ill test for rubbing on the front mudflap as well.
