2023 Trail Recon Summit Part 2 - VIP Days

Days 1 & 2 for the 2023 #TrailReconSummit at #MerusAdventure. Our adventure starts out as part of the 2 day VIP portion of the event before we join the rest of the group and attempt to take on the Trail Recon Extreme Challenge.

Did you ever consider installing the American Adventure lab drawers/frig slide on the gladiator?

Absolutely! It's something that I would love to do but can't justify the cost at this time. I really wish AAL would include the weight of their products on their website though so I could get an idea of weight difference to the Decked drawers I have currently.

@@2ndChanceOverland yes … I ended up calling them. I’m looking at adding the slightly wider frig slide and a stacked set of 6” drawers or slightly wider frig slide and one 6” drawer with a regular wide slide on top of the drawer. I have a smart cap adventure so they would well protected. My only concern is if they would rattle since all metal construction!

I would love to do a wide slide on the one side and 2 - 6" drawers with the standard slide on top for the other. I did order their Molle Bed Panels for mine and thinking about getting rid of the Decked drawers but haven't taken the time to do the work yet. From my experience with their product I would be very surprised if you notice any rattling from it in the bed of a Gladiator. I have their drawers in 2 wranglers and it's really not bad inside the cab. Im not going to say that there are NO rattles, but very minimal and most of the time what I hear is due to what I have rolling around inside them. My 2018 Wrangler is actually their old Wrangler that they used for shows and product development and has an early version of the drawers installed. It has a few more rattles than the newer version that is in my Wrangler 392. As far as the Gladiator, when I attach a camera to the bed rack that I currently have I get a ton of rattles coming through the microphone, but I don't hear them at all inside the cab, so I would be extremely surprised if you had significant rattles from the AAL items. If you end up getting that setup let me know what you think of it!
