Great review. Both bikes are great. No matter what you choose I think you will be happy. Just a matter of personal preference. Test ride both and look at what cost of ownership will be so you don’t have any future surprises.

This could be the answer to Tiger clutch issues you were having. There's a recall on certain vin ranges......Service Bulletin 604 - Hydraulic Clutch System Bleed. Apparently in some cases there is air caught in the clutch hydraulics and it needs to be bled out.

Maintenance. This topic is often overlooked when comparing these big adventure bikes and should be considered when making a purchase. The BMW needs service every 6k miles and valve adjustment every 12k miles. The Tiger’s service is every 10k miles and valve adjustment at 20k miles. The tiger is more involved to make the adjustment then the BMW, however you get almost twice the mileage between servicing. All of these bikes are so good these days it can also boil down to personal taste.

When you test the quick shifter on the BMW you change up from first to second at 5000 rpm and tell us the shifter might be smoother at higher revs ! No quick shifter will work well from first to second and definitely not at those revs. Try changing into second at lower revs with the clutch and then use the quick shifter from there on up.Things will be much smoother.

Seems like the clutch was slipping at around 11:10, can you confirm this? Actually, it seems like the clutch was slipping the entire time

Clutch is definitely slipping, both at the start when you pull out i was woundering if you where a new rider😂 It also slips at around 4:10.

What was wrong with the gear changing? I rode the rally explorer a little while ago and the quick shifter was silky smooth up and down through the gears. Your bike sounded like an auto that wouldn't change properly.

Yeah there was something going on with the bike I think the clutch was slipping

I read somewhere else that someone had an issue with the clutch.... something about needing to have it bled. I hope this is not an inherent problem as I'm very close to ordering a gt pro.

You comment on the wideness of the Triumph gas tank, but no mention of the ridiculous wideness of the bmw box engine lol that's ugly to me and a deal breaker. Also the Triumph pulls away from you with 150hp but you thought the bmw had more power lol actually lots less but those would have been my observations

Nah the wide engine didn’t bother me as you don’t really notice it when riding To me the bmw had more going for it felt better to ride but each to there own it was just my experience. Thanks

@@Brookmanrider I'm a BMW fan of the cars and great German engineering but I can always tell when a youtube evaluator has a bias when they dont mention the asthetics of the engine. lol I walk with my bike, like to change foot positions, and overall the look of the bike/engine is always important. The BMW Box is very unique to other bikes and for many its a reason some dont give it a chance. I just chuckle when no one that loves BMW's purposely doesnt mention it. Its a bike with love handles, but she can cook. LOL
