Love my 2006 Tiger. (And the 99 Tiger I had before it) That said, why cannot Triumph figure out that a DUAL SPORT motorcycle shouldn't idle at 25 MPH in first gear? It is hell going down steep grades, you cannot use engine braking. On one very steep section of loose rock covered road, I took the back brake pads from 99% to 0 % in about a mile. Good thing I carried spare brake pads. Funny thing is that my first M/C was a 500cc 1966 T100C Tiger.

I'm looking for a replacement for my '16 CB500X (with the Rally Raid kit) right now. I would like to go on a multi state trip this summer. Mostly on road but wouldn't mid a little dirt road too. Maybe some old mining towns and such. I've looked at the GSA, Super Adventure R, and the 890 Adventure standard. I would like to look at a '23 AT Adventure Sports manual but nobody has any. Basically I want more power than my CB and smoother running at freeway speeds. I'll have to take a look at the Tiger now. I road a '16 800 XCX. Seemed like a nice bike. Wonderful motor.

@@adventureundone Went and looked at one yesterday. Dealer had A White and a Sand Rally Pro. Going back next week to ride one. They said I could ride a 1200 as well.
