(2023 UPDATE) Have Gravesend's EPIC lifts been modernised?

@@EEverything360 High Speed 1 stops here. It's basically the time it takes to get to London + 30 mins, if going by train - not sure if this would be quick enough, though.

It's funny that the floor announcement sometimes can't keep up with the efficiency of these epic lifts. Great video.

Thanks! They do start up in a very harsh way - not sure if you noticed my camera jolt as soon as the lift started up. These also have a very high top speed for the number of floors they serve, so this makes it worse for the poor speech unit!

Interesting if it has the TVC trick, since ILE is a controller, which is interesting. I actually forgot about these, but oaklandexcelsior7 uploaded them earlier, good to see these are still going! Great video!

Thanks! I don't think anybody knows what exactly these are, but suffice it to say that only the voice is ILE. I have never seen an ILE controller behave like this before - a lot of people share this opinion. Due to the abruptness of these lifts and the behaviour of the floor indicators, it is assumed that the controllers are original, but we're not sure. This was a meetup with Oakland - when it comes to uploading the videos from our latest meetup, he always beats me to it!

What sort of lifts are they?

I don't think anyone knows for certain what these lifts are, but a lot of people think that they are Express lifts.
