A silent Lester means a QUICKER Lester!

it's interesting it has no delay when the voice is disabled, and the delay is actually one of the reasons i dont particularly like the lester "please mind the doors" announcement - i dont feel the delay is necessary especially given the majority of other lift models don't have such a message. I wonder what the comparison vs the Liftcran is in the going up direction, I think i remember the liftcran's acceleration not being so compromised in that direction

DAC controllers do the same thing - their lifts say "doors closing" before the doors even start to close. It is indeed interesting to see that this delay does not occur with Lester Controls controllers when the speech unit is turned off / faulty - what I'm going to try (next time we have to install a new lift with a Lester Controls controller) is to turn off "Please mind the doors" in the speech unit, but keep "doors closing" on, and see how the lift behaves. I wonder what it will do. I am going to deliver the answer to this question as soon as possible as it is also intriguing me. @@MichalM been away for a bit so sorry for the late reply, but i've been in a newer lester last week that was put in in 2021, one had the voice on and one off and both had a clear delay like you'd expect with the voice on. I haven't fully reviewed my footage yet but the delay duration may be slightly different, but there's no doubt its present. Something for you to experiment with perhaps

It's nice to have some variation in a duplex. I don't mind lifts with Lester Controls, but they are a little boring to some, due to their popularity.

It does indeed, Jarrold one in Norwich is like that due to a failed speech unit and indicator

But do you think the setting for the speech unit itself has been turned off? I don't think it's been turned off here - I think there's an electrical short circuit here, as the button beep is slightly different now too. I could be wrong though. Thanks for watching!

It seems Lester prevents send-off until all pending actions from onboarding are completed, including voice lines. Very interesting to see it though

I imagine it's for extra safety - DAC do the same thing. However, I'm not sure if there is still a delay with lifts on DAC controllers when the speech unit is disabled... More investigation required! Thanks for watching!

If the doors on this lift didn't slam, I probably wouldn't have filmed it. However, if you like modern lifts then you'll like the right hand lift here. The voice still works, and the doors still make an EPIC sound when closing, DA CA DU BRRR. If you don't really like modern lifts, fair enough. I will post a video (at some point) featuring the parts I received from the Liftcrans, including the landing call buttons and the lanterns. Thanks for watching!

Too many cuts in the video, old filming style is far better Very interesting lifts, good to see them faster, but I prefer them when they're not silent excluding the speed
