This is a single. I didn't realise. It makes it more attractive to me. 60 mph/3,500 rpm in top is good for a 650. Relaxed. You expect it to be chuggy at low revs. I could happily tour on this. After all, I toured extensively on an XT500 in the '80s. It looks superb, as well. It would make a great commuter. Big feet on the lad. Very good review. Nick J

The most comfortable speed for these bikes, in my opinion is 65/68 mph and it simple eats up the miles. I avoid motorways wherever possible but it will bob along at 70mph plus too. The engineering qualities are akin to Japanese at a much lesser cost. I have a Yamaha World Raid and the Voge 650, but enjoy the Voge far more, great fun to ride.

Looks like they used the engine off my 1993 Pegaso and it`s a belter. Motorway miles from Staffordshire to Devon and Cornwall was never a problem and it never missed a beat. Commuted 15 miles to work and back and apart from a good service in spring and one in autumn all I ever did was put oil in and air in the tyres. Brilliant bike that went way too expensive, The similar Tuareg now is £10.5K so this is worth a look. Mind you with the Honda only £400 more, that`s the one for me.

Didn't realise it was a single, I think I can forgive the vibes to be expected really, but then the fact you're not getting more vibes is a plus.

Good review, but got to disagree about your Firestorm remarks! I have had a Firestorm for 3 years, and find you can ride it like a Harley, using the bottom end grunt to enjoy the sound. Only downside to the big V twin is low speed cornering where you need t o feather the clutch a bit, but isn't that the case for any big twin? Only explore the revs for overtaking - otherwise just enjoy the sound it makes.

I had a BMW F650ST and loved it, it was good on fuel and plenty quick enough. The engine was a Rotax unit also shared by the Aprillia Pegaso 650. The BMW had a 4 valve head designed by BMW and the Aprillia had the original 5 valve Rotax head, does this have a 4 or 5 valve head? The BMW was also prone to loosing the engine paint, especially if ridden through winter. They were a great bike though and hopefully the Voge will be too.

Yes, that Rotax 650 was a great engine. I had a couple of BMWs with this engine as service bikes back in the '90s. They were great.

@@motorsforthemasses it is a lot more reliable it's more comfortable and better on fueI I found after a while the seat on the voge was uncomfortable but I liked the voge because it was a single cylinder and you don't get many single touring bikes and with 60 nm of torque it made it a fun bike I just wish the CB 500x had 60 nm of torque

I have a Mash Six Hundred 650 air cooled and even this engine ends up having an interesting cruising speed for the purpose of the bike, at 3500 rpm the Mash goes at 80 kmph. The Voge engine derives from that of the Bmw Gs 650 and in fact it is really interesting the capacity that the single cylinder engine has for cruising at low speed 3500 rpm at 60 mph is very good I bet a Tenere 700 doesn't do the same with a 6 gearbox speeds. Thanks to the Chinese, very interesting engines have appeared, even the one on my motorcycle, which is nothing more than the Honda Dominator engine with an oil cooler and injection, the same can be said of the BSA GoldStar 650 engine, which in relation to the twin-cylinder engine of the Interceptor should be able to cruise at lower revs💪

The only thing that bothers me is that if the Voge engine has the BMW symbol on it the maintenance intervals are at 10,000 km, however, in the Voge Ds 650 which even lost power in order to respect euro5 emissions, the maintenance intervals are at 5,000 km. This is just dealership business but it is what it is. If possible, do a comparative test between the Mash Sixhundred and the BSA GoldStar as they are 2 classic models with a Big Single engine and we have almost no reviews on the Mash SixHundred people always prefer de Xride model😅

Hello!! Excellent review! I have a question. How about the vibrations. Does it travel at about 110-120 kph with ease? Do the vibrations are big issue at those speeds?
@motorsforthemasses
@motorsforthemasses 2 ай бұрын
@user-ev3jv9is9b It keeps at 70 well enough but passenger vibrations are felt. It's not bad as a rider, more felt as a passenger.

The centre stand on the example you are riding seems to be hanging lower than normal, certainly lower than the pics on the MotoGB website. I prefer thumpy singles over twins, but does it really feel like it is only 170kg dry, it certainly looks like it must be more?

Didn't the "Funduro" F650 have a Rotax derived mill? Cheaper than a Royal Enfield Interceptor AND a BSA Goldstar? ...DAYAM!
