Yes, blind spot monitoring. The pickup truck entered the blind spot, thus the light turned on.

How confident are you in this being a GTI "S"? I didn't see any badging on the car that indicated this was an "S". I don't believe that's actually a trim level they offer. A couple things I would like to see updated from my 2023 GTI Autobahn. 1. The garage door openers shouldn't only work when the car is on. 2. The fog lights should have an auto function and an always-on function. They look so cool, why hide them? 3. Brighter interior LEDs. They look awesome, but it has to be pitch black to see the floor lights. 4. Automatic high beams should be a function that can be left on permanently rather than having to reactivate each time you start the car.

S is the standard trim and you can tell because of the volume and tuning knob, along with the smaller infotainment screen, along with no front lightbar on the outside.

1. press fleet so they know what theyre being lent / lent by an owner (unlikely for cars like a golf) 2. mk7.5 golf in the us comes in S and SE trims for all variants (except for the golf R) so naturally it would carry on to the 8th gen 3. the reply above mine

Garage door can be opened only when the car is on as a safety feature. If at 3 AM someone breaks into my GTI parked in my driveway, they will not be able to open my garage door. I sleep well at night knowing this.

Of course you can turn on the fogs whenever you want, but the reason they arent on by default is because some countries fine drivers for having them on all the time. No, I don't know what the reason is, but I'm pretty sure I've heard that's a thing. (Maybe Canada?)
