2023 Volvo VNL HDT Oil Change

Honestly do any oil will work with you don't have to go buy off those specs what they say you'll be fine just proper maintenance and also you don't have to cut the oil filters either if you have good intervals like at 12 k or 15 you'll be fine

We ordered it before everything went crazy and when I went to pick it up Volvo added another 4-6k surcharge and when I say Volvo, I mean the factory. I wasn't happy but needed the truck, I heard they have increased that charge since we picked ours up.

That is only oil that I use on 2019 Volvo , usually change oil at 20k , 675 k Miles doesn't burn any oil

It's the only oil I have used and I'm changing it at 10k mile intervals or less. That's impressive your truck doesn't use any oil. Mine used close to a gallon in about 10k miles. I thought all the modern emission laden diesel engines were designed to use some oil. I've been concerned mine might use more because it's never loaded heavy enough to really break it in. I'm never heavier than 40k.

Why would you change oil on 8000 miles that’s the early right?

Volvo recommends around 50k if I'm not mistaken. I've changed the oil 3 times so far and have about 18k on the truck. I did an initial "break in" oil change and then 2 more because I'm obsessive about maintenance. The Volvo filters that are made in Mexico are junk compared to the European ones (totally different internal design). I definitely recommend checking where the filter is made. I thought you were joking when I first saw your comment because I tell which oil in the video, but just in case you aren't I use Delo 400XSP 5w-30 full synthetic.

NAPA; I had to search for it, and they ended up ordering it for me.

No, I think it's $35 on their website and I talked them down on price to $32 if I remember correctly.

$32 is still crazy, I'm not a fan of politics affecting how much it cost to maintain my truck.
