I have a 19 and could not be happier. Really appreciate this video. good info. Was curious if when I upgrade if I might go to the WR just for the softer suspension .

Great video! The only thing I would change for sure is the battery. The battery in these new FX’s are junk. Question: you still doing that sprint enduro now that it’s in Battle Creek?
@steezzyy39182 жыл бұрын
I sensed the battery wasn’t as good as the 19. But yes! I’ll be there! I’ve been practicing my starts from a dead stop and seems it you aren’t touching the throttle at all it fires right up. But it is very touchy and can crank forever sometimes. I’ll be in the Cadillac/kalkaska area this weekend with the RZR

Think this bike is good for an adult beginner?
@steezzyy39187 ай бұрын
Maybe the 2019 but if you’ve never ridden ever then no. Would recommend you go with the TTR until you understand how the clutch works and how to operate the machine well. These are race bikes. Not beginner bikes

I’m picking my 2023 up tomorrow. How many hours until you do the first oil change?
@steezzyy39182 жыл бұрын
I’ve always guessed before. But now that I know how many hours are on it, probably will do it before it hits 5. I’ll be at 2.5 this weekend. I think you were asking about suspension before, I did a couple fork clickers softer on compression and rebound. Made a pretty good difference. More comfortable now

What’s your opinion now that you have some racing on the new one?
@steezzyy39182 жыл бұрын
I do like it a lot! Probably will have the suspension done over the winter and upgrade the battery. I did like changing maps between those two sections. Also, this thing turns so well! It’s overall pretty great, play with suspension and put my numbers on it and I’ll be good to go racing next year

How much stiffer is the 2023 suspension percentage wise???
@steezzyy39182 жыл бұрын
That’s a hard number to say. My initial reaction was about 15% or so. I think a better way to describe it is the new bike is set up for a pretty aggressive rider at 175lbs. Not pro level, but definitely about B class skill level. That’s about what I’m at, so it suits me well. I send whoop sections and over jump things landing to flats, the new bike is much more capable of taking the big hits without bottoming out. The old one is much more plush for smaller rocks, roots, and bumps for sure, but the new one is set up to be pushed hard without hitting the limit

Did you end up getting your new bike?
@fattie25502 жыл бұрын
@@steezzyy3918 yep. Picked up a 2023 fx in October. Where do you have your clickers set? Mine are in stock form and it seems very stiff.
@steezzyy39182 жыл бұрын
@@fattie2550 that’s what I wanted to talk to you about. I think I have 4 hours on it now, and i went two clicks softer on compression and one softer rebound. However, I raced it once and still think it’s too stiff. I’m taking it to Enduro Engineering this winter to get it set up for my weight and riding style. It’s not too stuff if you’re on a moto track, however in the woods and the chop I encountered it was rough. Looking for a mix of being stiff enough to absorb the big hits and soft enough to soak up the chop. Overall, the race went well and I was still able to ride it and do well, just think the revalve will do wonders

@@steezzyy3918 Did you have to remove your handlebars to adjust your clickers? I only do trail riding here in Idaho so I’m gonna go as soft as I can from there. I have a little over 7 hours on my bike now.
@fattie25502 жыл бұрын
Would these still make a good trail bikes or are these new ones(2023) more geared for MX style of riding?
@steezzyy39182 жыл бұрын
I’d say it’s going to be a fantastic trail bike. It just comes from the factory a little stiff for my liking. A little fine tuning of the forks and maybe a touch softer in the rear, this thing will be great in the woods. I’d say two clicks softer and we’re good to go for what I like.
