I have a 2019 SEL PREMIUM R-Line 4Motion trim as well and love it. Considering replacing it with a new one next year. Nice to see video for the changes. The price tag is will be easily around $53000 for the top trim so it competes easily with A4, C-Class, and 3-Series. However, it is probably a better buy overall than those three sedans. It is definitely a competitor in this luxury entry class.

You can definitely find a loaded one after some discounts for around 48K. Definitely a great competitor, especially with the new changes.

The auto hold actually works in my 2021 even though there isn't a light for auto hold. It's there just not "advertised" with a separate indicator.

@@DMCarReviews Try it out if you get a chance on a VW that has electronic brake but no auto hold light. It will work. I use it everyday on my 2021 Arteon.

This thing with the aftermarket tunes would be a sick sleeper/daily. The new R's are making well over 400~450 crank HP now with just bolt on's and a tune.

@@DMCarReviews Plenty of 400 crank HP GTI's and Golf R's. The GTI turbos are prone to failure but the engines themselves are more than capable of holding that power long-term. DSG's are good for 500~ish also but the manual transmissions need a better clutch.

@@DMCarReviews actually yes they are. When you put the dsg tune on, they will be just fine. The specific transmission in this, the dq381.2 dsg, is rated to handle up to 650lbs of torque with the right software. Just ask anyone that tunes these cars and other VWs with the dsg

Just test drove one of these over the weekend. I plan to pick one up sometime next year. Just having a really hard time deciding on whether to trade in my Passat GT or add it as a 3rd car and possibly have to get a pre-owned later.

@DMCarReviews .... you act as if a family sedan can't be fast. Ever heard of an s6/s7, or even an rs6/rs7? This car is faster than you "tested" when driven properly, i.e. launching it as intended. When launched as intended, this car stock 0-60 is around 5 seconds. No offense, but I see you spreading a lot of misinformation... yet you're reviewing these cars? I highly recommend doing your homework before testing and making these videos.... it's the only right way to do it.

It does look great. It has a more aggressive exterior design than most Audi's. The Audi S5 Sportback in Turbo Blue and Chronos Gray looks bold too, but it's more of a minimalistic, yet tasteful design.

In comparison to my stage 1 tuned Arteon. The idle 0-60 is the same. The standing 1/4 mile is very close. The new one is maybe 0.1-0.2 seconds faster than my 2019. The 2019 did trap higher in the 1/4 mile than the 2023. The 60-100mph, and 60-130 mph was significantly faster in the stage 1. The 2023 has impressive power for stock. I bet it can really shine with a tune.

@@DMCarReviews I test drove a 2022 and this lines up with what I was thinking. The 2019 with a tune shines big time on the Highway. This indicator me that in normal driving the tuned is probably a better experience. I’ve seen some videos of tuned ones in Europe that are insane. I do wish I had dsg. Do you still have the Arteon?

This Arteon has the new Golf R engine. It is different from the GTI.
