Today i had my motorcycle license exam. I passed. Obviously the responsible adult in me immediately went to dealerships. 2 had no sales rep on site. (Guess they dont like selling bikes on fridays. The most busy days🤦♂️) 3rd shop had what i want to see mainky. The xsr700. They did not have my second choice which was a cb650r. (They had the 1000 but thats too much. That also cost 1200$ just for the tags.) Told myself i didn't want an mt. Then i sat on it just for giggles. Im 5'7, i can flat foot the bike without issues (unlike the xsr on tipy toes). It just felt so comfortable. Also sat on a cfmoto heritage. Really like the looks, also comfortable but something kept getting me back to the mt07. I must've sat on it 7 times. Well, monday is my credit check and if all ok thursday i have a new mt07. (Settled on the blue model because the grey and teal wheels was only 2024 but also 2k more.) Im nervous, i hope i get home ok.🤣. Cant wait. Have no friends to say this too, so i said it to yt strangers. 🤣

I got one of my best friends into riding bikes and he bought an MT-07 after like 3 or 4 sessions of me teaching him on my FZ6R in parking lots. He had me ride his new MT-07 to his house for him because he wasn’t THAT comfortable riding and it surprised me how much fun it was! It made me wish that I got my license first so i could test ride bikes before I bought mine. Would have definitely gone with one of these even with how much I loved that FZ6R. And the sound with a pipe is beautiful! That low growl/grunt sound is phenomenal to me!

I started on this bike in 2015 ish when it was called the FZ-07 in the states at under 7k MSRP. Loved this bike, so much easier to ride than any sportbike, only problem was trying to keep up with the big boys. If you are a first time rider I recommend the mt-07 over any other entry bike to learn how to ride an actual street bike. First time going on the highway on a windy day on this bike in Dallas, and I thought I was going to die... Little windscreen would help a lot, because with this upright bike, ur chest IS the windscreen.

@@RayBowdenRidesHello, I have a few questions. My 1st question is where are you from? My 2nd question is, is the MT07 very dangerous? Does the wheel lift off when accelerating? What should be done to prevent this from happening? My 3rd question is, how much is the price of the MT07, how much is the price of a brand new machine? How many liters per 100 km?
@RayBowdenRides3 ай бұрын
@Ramiz992 Dallas Texas, all bikes can be Dangerous- it's how Mature ARE YOU! Don't twist the Throttle as far are as quick will prevent any lift. Yamaha is a Top tier machine. Thanks for Watching and Commenting my friend 🙏🏻. Let me know if you have any more questions ok.

@@RayBowdenRides my commuting is more highway so wonder how that would handle with the wind
@isaacs34135 ай бұрын
@@jevonferguson5744 an r3 would be more enjoyable on the highway than an mt07 imo. I have a cb650f and the wind is irritating at speeds over 110kmph (60-70 mph). a Z900 is too much for a beginner an r3 has a high enough top speed for highway and will be much better for learning good technique.

Exactly! I didn't grow up riding, so I started on an mt-03 and had it for a yr and a half before upgrading to the mt-07, and I absolutely love it. But to anyone wanting a starter bike, I absolutely agree to go with something smaller. Get a small starter bike, and learn to ride it. Then, upgrade when you feel confident in your abilities.

Most of my beginner experience was on this bike. The torque can scare you a bit but the secret to learning this bike is discipline. Use clutch control and learning low speed maneuvers and you'll be good
