That's with 15% loss, I would assume you'd get more efficiency on the road when it's not strapped down right?

@@vistakayA modern sport bike that generates max power at between 12,500-13,500 rpm would loose about 13%, which is the case here. A car, by way of mass and scale effects, would be closer to 15%. On the road the difference would be negligible.

My 2014 Ninja Zx14r was stolen 6 years ago. I was very attached to that ride and decided not to get another one until i had a garage. Now I have a garage and your channel content bike rev sounds have me ready for a used Zx10r. I cant wait to get the cash together. Good stuff!!!

Awesome, a small mixup with the charts at the end though. Should be stock : 168 hp. Stock exhuast /w ECU flash : 188hp . Slipon installed: 192hp. Slipon fueling correction 196 hp.

Impressive figures. Stock exh. with flash apparently makes about the same HP as my gen1 ZZR1400 with full exhaust, ECU and filter. Age difference is quite large obviously. Can't remember torque figures out of my head. Should try to find dyno charts. Still, anyway impressive considering displacement difference.

Decell fuel cut need to be adjusted on my 1000 y’all did . In 1000 mode if I let off or put fuel to it it will literally try throwing me off the bike it’s dangerous but what a great job they did in my bike I’m so happy just have to bring it back for that little issue. It’s bad I haven’t even ride it in 1000 mode since y’all did the adjustment. I miss 1000 mode. This isn’t a complaint it was there first 2021 R1 experiment on that year of bike . Mine was the first they’ve done on that year . But omg I’m so happy with the rest.. Thank Moore Mafia

Exactly, i remember in the late 80s we had a 86 GSX-R1100 that a Swiss guy had brought with him when he moved from Switzerland to here in NZ. The Swiss bikes where so restricted that it barely made 70 hp at the wheel! Plus, due to legislation over there, it had a single rectangle headlight in place of the iconic dual round ones everywhere else got.

What do you think the max hp you can squeeze out of the newer zx10r's leaving the motor NA, stock and no nitrous, but any other upgrades is on the table. Im very impressed already with what it produced.

When it's for drag races maybe what I gonne say is not that importent but is the limiter at +/-13000pm not there to protect the engine?And at the end of a track day(race circuit) that exhuast is literally melted!lol First time on a video I cleaerly can here the loud sound!Amazing sound!Sry for my poor english I'm from belgium and poor to.

Love your videos Chris, got my 20mt10 flashed at 2wdw mailed in w race filter cat delete n hindle mid n tail. Could I creep a bit more power out of the setup w a full dyno tune? Setup n flash is claiming 148hp at the wheel. Bike is track n street, not drag. So smooth is good

Really like the tune..l wish I could get that out of my 06 relic 🤣🤣🤣 wifey wouldn't go for me getting a new bike so I live through your videos. A retainer broke and trashed #1 piston so I got it torn down and already have all new piston rings and cylinder head with valves just waiting for updated retainers and trying to sneak a new cam into the budget but would it change anything if I sent my ecu in now??

Did you get retainers from the Gen. 3 ZX10R? If it's tore down, you should get a Cometic .045 HG and also upgrade to the Gen. 3 Valve Springs also. The Gen. 3 Intake Cam will run you maybe $50 to $100.

@@bacchusthompson5834 I got new used cylinder head for 06 but brought new valves and 08 retainers and 1 new piston and all new rings. I looked for months for a 08 intake cam without any luck so I'm saving for new 08 intake cam.

@@steelcitycaprice.899 if it's in your budget, do a velocity port on the intake side... Then a good tune and have the Limiter raised to 13,600 or so. Get the Cams degreed to 108/104 or 110/108, you'll be happy

My 06 made 150whp stock and with cams/blockoff/pc3r/full muzzy m10 system etc it made 10hp/10ftlb the whole way under the curve. They are plenty fast man you can top them out gear limited around 200mph.

@@N4CR my 06 was a race ready demo.. it was very very fast. It is know where near what it was. That said I still own it I still love it but even new it didn't get past 182mph and it was one wicked ride to get there 🤣🤣🤣 so if I can get to the 190 mark at my age I'll be HAPPY. 👊🏾😎🏁🏁🏁 TO OLD TO BE ROAD KILL BUT CANT STAY OFF THAT THROTTLE!. 😂😂🤣👌🏽

Yeah you right thinking you got a fast bike and it’s stock. Then you get the cat remove stick a pipe and a good sounding exhaust with better air flow in there get rid of the air intake flap and of course get it flashed removing the United States enforced restrictions, keep those secondary fuel Flap thingies open instead of closing at the higher rpm’s. Then you get on it take it for a rip and all you can do is frickin laugh because you realize you can beat almost any car on the road. I’ve never been beat by a car On my zx10r. Really sweet. Before the flash it didn’t have any power till 4 or 5000 but you better be ready for it once it passes that because it does come on. It was just unpredictable. Much more fun after the flash. Cool video. Thanks.

What I would do to have the money for you to tune my turbo hayabusa grudge bike project. I’ve been a long time watcher and l you’re the reason I started my project, it’s been many years, and I’m closing to about done on the build. But there isn’t a tuner anywhere near me (central pa) that I would trust like you. Just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration, and congrats for first in the 5’s, you give the small dogs like me motivation to take it to the next level. I hope to meet you one day and eventually race side by side. 💪🏻

Very cool. Compare a/f ratio on first and second dyno run. Almost perfect all the way through the second run. I have never ridden something like this but I’m sure it will bend time. 😂

Older I get, the more I would leave the stock exhaust and unrestrict it, sprint filter, carbon wheels, ceramic bearings on wheels and transmission, 520 non oring chain it, Galfer brake it, titanium bolts, etc, and have a very fast "QUIET" sleeper🤔

You have the best and most informative tuning vids on KZbin. I drove down to your place in 2021 to have my ZX6R ECU flashed and put 10k miles on the flash with no issues. I ride the Blue Ridge Mountains from Blowing Rock to Asheville every weekend, about 5 hours and 200 miles every Saturday. One of my personal favorite roads is outside your shop, 276N thru Transylvania into Waynesville. NC Blue Ridge has some of the greatest roads and towns in the country and I try to hit everyone of them on the ZX6R every weekend. Lake Lure, Blowing Rock, Chimney Rock, Little Switzerland, Morganton, Marion, Brevard, Waynesville, Belmont, Asheville, Hendersonville, and the list goes on. So when are you going to become a Kawasaki dealership?

Kawi hp numbers have always been there.. the real question is, did kawi solve the issue of bottom ends failing by 20k miles? Everyone I've known that rides, both former owners and current all have said bottom end. I'm not a kawi owner. 4 suzies. What's the deal? Is that an issue still?

Without rider weight, the sidewall of the rear tire is not deflecting as much as it otherwise would which leads to inflated dyno figures.

And who says people can't get off into the weeds. Are you saying that not having weight on the bike is going to invalidate the tune? like timing and fueling won't be correct if nobody is sitting on it? Otherwise, it seems like removing the variable of rider weight actually would add to more constancy and better comparisons than putting a 250 lb. tech on a 400 and a 150lb tech on a liter bike.

My first bike was a brand new R1. I never got use to the power. I was 135 lbs at the time. and it was out of my league. Didn't want to buying a 6 and later want something more powerful. It was nice to know the power was there when I wanted it.

I know you're a Suzu-Guru but damn these zx10rs keep making me proud. I'm a Ninja fan and always have been. I've got a gen 4 zx10r that's as fast as a fuckin missile lol 😆 good work as always bud. I want to send my ecu to you to tune it specifically I wish I could bring the whole bike to you to dyno. I got the full evolution akrapovic system and wanted to dial everything in and get rid of some of the silly ecu presets and restrictions

Someone please explain why Kawasaki does this? I have a 2000 zx9r. Carbureted. Pretty sure that when I’m giving the throttle 100% it’s giving the gas 100%. Now I’m not an engineer. Some please explain.

It’s a year old video, love the channel I bought a leftover 2023 Matt gray/black ZX14r , just got done putting on the R77 yoshiurma racing exhaust, long story short, I got a run around. It is being tuned for driving, but no reflash of the ecu. The zx14 is really restricted, I need to send my ecu out.

Why does Kwai have those limits? What does the ECU flash do to engine reliability? Warranty?

This bike does not have cats/cat anymore correct? A 7hp gain in 9 years? Actually these bikes were so damn fast 9 years ago I’m not surprised. I have a 2014 ZX10R derestricted with a brake kit. 189hp at the wheel and btw the speedo reads 196 at top speed gear limited, the speed nor the bike is stuck at 186.

well, did you dyno every other 1k on the planet? do you really think that when you dyno 1 honda fireblade the numbers you get every stock blade on the rock gets the same? aw hale no! they vary up to 8 hp sometimes even more, it depends on a few variables, break in procedure, temperature when it was broken in, how long break oil was ran, then you have internal tolerances and material quality, you dont think every piston ring made for these are all teh same do you? nonoe takes the time to insure all alloys are 100% the same, they vary up to 20% even more.. the amount of nikasil can make a difference as well, so many variables, you get a prino cherry with perfect tolerances with all prino materials, perfect break in parameters, optimal fuel and mapping.. you dont think each bike has the exact same fuel in them do you? seen guys get low 190s out of blade and gsxrs, yamaha's too, seen em get 180.. they vary out the box about 8% maybe even more, simply due to the mix of tolerances, you get one that by luck has perfect bearing tolerances, cam tolerances valve cuts all that they can have more power then one that's at the other end of the allowances.. can it equate to 8 hp around 200? sure can hale in the day when they did "dyno shoots" every weekend I witnessed it a lot, I broke in my 2k31k real well, it had great compression and leakdown, just a runner, I seen it take down other 03-04's bone stock like mine over 6 hp difference, was it the gas we dumped in? or just the build? seenit with busas, no jokes a buddy in seattle used to win the big block shootout time and again with a purple black 04 hayabusa, he routinely pulled down mid 170's all time, like 162 was the lowest he ever got, he always beat the stock busas, no special uel nothing, it was just luck of the draw and break in

They call the Fuel cut off. Engine Braking. Which is good for an 18 wheeler coming down a hill trying not to smoke the brakes. But it sucks so bad on a motorcycle. And its almost dangerous.

That isn't a "stock" bike. More American interpretation of things the rest of the world know is lies. A stock bike is a bike straight from the factory and out of the crate, not a remap of the ECU with a different exhaust, etc. 🙄

Could the top end 'restricted throttle' possibly be an intended protection to prevent over revving and engine damage?

They’ve got a revlimiter that would prevent over revving. But, it’s common for them to back off power early so you don’t smack into the limiter as hard.
