If the problems that Sprocket, Axle, and Cog faced were congenital, then what ultimately happened was that those little babies had the absolute best life they could possibly have had given their situation by being born at KA. ❤❤❤ They were warm, fed, snuggled, and loved.

I am so sorry that 3 have passed. I cant imagine how mama is feeling. Im sure she knows she missing babies. Thank you Mr A, DJ , and all the drs that have helped with those precious ones. May they forever fly high and know that they truly had the best care possible while they were still here. Praying for this sweet baby Crank. She is such a chonk so that seems to be a good sign. Those precious eyes of hers just taking in everything around her and soaking up all the attention.

Judging by the severity of their birthdefects, they lasted far longer than anyone could hope for. Hopefully, little Crank has a different father than the other 3 and is perfectly healthy.

My guess is that in the wild they wouldn't have made it nearly as long and wouldn't have been loved like they were in your care. To me, that's worth the price of the sadness I felt. I cried a few tears, hugged my own kitties a few extra times, and remembered that nothing in life is guaranteed. So many more would have passed without KA care and attention. That makes me happy, that there are those who care so much to help.

I'm so sorry to hear this, but the only comfort is knowing that during their short little lives these three angels, Sprocket, Axle, and Cog, were loved and protected by Mr A and Dr Dj and had all the love of everyone watching them since birth. Crank will grow safe and maybe have memories of the three angels that shared great newborn adventures even if it was for a few days.

rooting for little Crank. she's adorable and regardless of anything, deserves to be spoilt like a queen! once Gadget is allowed a little more freedom, she may calm down a little bit. and as Crank gets a little bigger, she can exact revenge on her birthgiver for some of the bunnykicks I've seen her get!! (I reckon Crank is going to be a bit of a floofy kitty - which will just make it all the more adorable to watch too!) and adopters for the other kids and their mothers? awesome!!

Since we don't really know her background it's possible if she was a stray that inbreeding could have happened and been a factor. Also a chance that Crank had a different father and will be fine like you said. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm sure it's harder for you and DJ than it is for us. Your sympathy for all the KA fans is really sweet.

Awwwww... The babies had a good life, well taken care of. I heard about Cog earlier, but it's still sad to know, and yes, relieving to understand what happened. ❤ Hopefully Crank will keep making gains...she's so cute and fluffy!

Thank you for the update. I will miss seeing Sprocket, Axel, and Cog growing and playing. They are now playing in heaven and we will be sad but ok. Crank looks like she is doing well and we will be praying for her . All of us who love cats really feel the emotion when we lose one. I’ve sent seven over the Rainbow Bridge, most that lived to ripe old ages. Thank you for all you and Dr. DJ do for the mammas and kittens. 💕

Any kitten who ends up at Kitten Academy gets to know they are loved, and gets the best care possible. I do feel a bit better knowing there was nothing that could possibly have changed the outcome, but I also really appreciate the fact that even though their lives were short, they still were very well loved. I'd noticed that there were only 2 of the 4 kittens last week and now only 1. My sympathies on the passing of Sprocket, Axle, and Cog. My best hopes and wishes for Crank and Gadget. Thank you for letting us know, Mr. A. You and Dr. DJ do wonderful work raising all these kittens.

Thank you for official update. I am starting to feel a little better, that nothing could be done because birth defects. Gadget did not give up on Cog. I hope none were in pain. Not seeing Crank and Gadget for a bit was probably for the best. DJ had the right idea. Crank is absolutely fun to watch with Mr. A. The Skyscrapers and Snugglers will be leaving soon. Need to cram in as much joy as possible while they are at KA. Gadget dosen't seem the least bit interested in anything but Mr. A Still watching, enjoying all the kitten adventures. 🐈 🐾

It's a blessing that for once we can say we have some concrete answers. It is definitely a comfort to me knowing that Crank's sibs could have had a much worse life with the conditions they were living with than what they did have - a life of love, warmth, and security. They didn't suffer unduly and it's just the way of things sometimes. They had the longest life they could've possibly had. We still have Crank, who is the chubbiest little booger. I just love her. She is such a happy baby.

I know this has been hard on you Mr. A at @Kitten Academy It’s unreal this has happened. I’m glad I have some photos of them. Crank looks really good. I mean she looks normalish like she’s growing and being a normal kitty. I am sorry that you’ve had to go through this as you spend all this time with them you and DJ of course. You did everything you guys could have done. We all know that. I mean you acted so quick when I mentioned the breathing issues on Sprocket. I’ve been seeing Crank doing great. Mom is trying to tell you that she loves you and thanks you for everything. I agree with what you are saying on everything. She’s acting silly right now and I think that’s great. She’s playing with you which is nice. We will miss the other 3. I wouldn’t want to eagle eye her either. It’s a paranoia that sets in when you have a history like we’ve had so it’s understandable. Sending hugs to you guys and im glad Gadget got sent to you guys.

I am sure he will socialize her with the other kitties as soon as she is big enough to scoot around and play - which isn't too long from now. Mr. A is always eager to socialize his fosters as much as possible.
