Scum! Nearly every Loch in Scotland has this problem. I see it everywhere i go. Im also sick of bagging up the trash they leave behind. If you bring it here TAKE IT WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE! Thanks for the vid, sadly.

Sad how some people these days have no conscience at all, leaving their rubbish because they are useless.

thanks for posting, i walk the woods near me, northants, and whilst theyre nothing like the beauty you have up there they are still lovely places. the exact same thing can be seen here, utterly disgusting , irresponsible and also terribly dangerous for wildlife. another beef of mine is these idiots who cant even go for a short walk without buying a coffee and walking with that only to throw the cup in the hedge when finished. walking with a coffee, the big IN thing to do. god help us.

I used to pick up a lot of litter on my walk to and from my allotment. I was just sick of seeing it. Now I've pretty much stopped doing it sadly. I ought to start again.

I'll never understand the mentality of those who throw litter and discard all sorts of rubbish without a thought or consideration for others or their environment. To do it in such beautiful surroundings is sacrilege.

That's absolutely bloody disgusting. What is the mentality pf people coming to a beautiful spot and trashing it. They haven't just left litter they've damaged trees as well. Who are these people, foreigners? This didn't use to be a problems as bad as it is now. There should be wardens to stop this happening.

Hey dude I cleared 3 bags of rubbish out of the castle after someone had had a fire inside the castle walls last time I was there … it’s bloody depressing and makes me fume 😤

Absolutely disgusting. I have been visiting Scotland on various fishing holidays for years and just recently I've noticed the amount of camp rubbish and litter lying around, it seem to be getting worse, especially around the NC500 route.

I'm a ranger on an estate & the last few years have been horrific. When they know the place isn't managed they leave all their crap. I've had to call the police numerous times this year. Youth, weed smoker's & people from 'certain areas / countries are the main culprits. This isn't taken seriously by authorities & until it is then we are forever going to seeing this crap 🤬🤬🤬

Since covid this problem seems to have got so much worse. Tragic.

Flipping disgrace, really annoys me that kind of behaviour. Animals.

The litter is one thing, the amount of fire pits is another. This is why the Police & Ranger Services ban all fires at Morlick, even if it off the ground and in a woodstove. I have a 12.5kg 3kw woodstove for places like that in Video. If it is a proper wild camp 20km from car, you leave no trace and bury ashes.

It is not just beauty spots that suffer. It’s ubiquitous. I and many others were brought up to take rubbish home and bin it. Is it poor parenting? Why don’t people care? Contrastingly in Japan there are no rubbish bins anywhere, they don’t need them.

@drewrobertson3301 I'd agree. It's a lack of respect for others and their environment.

Good video,,shame that people have no respect,I try and clear up 'other' people's shit when I come across it,but it does become tedious and time consuming,,then there's the problem of disposing of what you've collected,ok if you're in a vehicle but not if you're on a solo hike that's for sure!

I don’t think that mess counts as responsible camping, I doubt that is what the Scottish government had in mind with the land reform act. I’m saddened that some scummy Neds ruined your visit to what should have been a beautiful spot.

Walking away and leaving that makes you just as bad. Ive carried sacks of other peoples shite from the Shelterstone in the Cairngorms , no excuse. Get it picked up or stop complaining.

I do my fair share of removing litter when I can but would have needed a skip for the amount here and had neither the space nor the time. I appreciate your opinion though.
