Which would you pick between the A-Spec and Type S?

Great video showing all the nuances and how expensive this Acura. SHAWD is a gimmick from Acura. Over engineered without any substance…does Acura really think that owners are driving like a jack rabbit all the time and throwing the car into corners consistently? Ridiculous Acura marketing and hype. 70K for an Acura which is essentially a Honda with fake leather and fake wood???? Absolute disastrous pricing. Why is Acura even still a brand? Honda should abandoned this overpriced brand. Even a Mazda is better quality, better interior and options for a lot lower price…Mazdas are even more luxurious.

I already made the choice with a Type-S Ultra, love it. Great value in my opinion.

I don't think the Type-S is aimed at the average MDX owner. I went with the Type-S vs an X5 or a Q8. Love mine. This car is a bargain for what you get compared to it's German competitors. IMO - The base MDX feels very pedestrian while the Type-S feels sporty - Especially in Sport and Sport + modes. First car I've actually used the modes.

Why pay $18K more for 65 more horsepower? Power you can't use without getting a speeding ticket. Yes the type S comes with other stuff but stuff you can live without and will be very costly to repair like Brembo brakes and air suspension. 2025 aspec looks like the Type S now so just save your money.

What would you say, perhaps the MDX vs the CX90? Is it a fair comparison?

We would! The 90 has better third row functionality and the MDX has a slightly better drive feel.

Did you actually driver both cars and compared? Did you check their sizers and internal space? Also, even the Mdx tech trim is light years faster then the most powerful cx90

At the price point of the MDX type S ultra is rather get the Genesis gv70 sport prestige. It’s more powerful, has way more features, the adaptive suspension actually scans the road in front of you and adapts the suspension immediately for what’s coming whether it’s on the left the right or both sides. The sound system I heard is 1200 watts and absolutely amazing. Everything about it makes it a much better choice especially at this price point.
