2024 ALMOST RUINED STAR WARS! (The Dark Times of the Franchise)

Loved the new episode. Ill agree this has been a weird year for star wars and all the hate has just has left me feeling drained. But I have enjoyed alot. 1.) The Acolyte was a breath of fresh air and while it did need some work ( what first season of a show doesnt) was still some of the best we got. 2.) Seeing Assajj again was great but like Scotty I wanted more with her. 3.) Enjoyed the new season of Young Jedi Adventures Nubs is adorable. 4.) Tales Of The Empire with Barriss was great and glad we got more of her . 5.) Slot of the high Republic books and comics especially with Ty York were great and fun.

@wayseekerspod I appreciated the 'thread wisdom' in The Acolyte. Not super impressed this year, looking forward to Andor season 2. Edit - I also really enjoyed Lego Rebuild the Galaxy. Probably this year's highlight for me.

Biggest worry I had when watching the final Season of the Bad Batch is when Project Necromancer was mentioned, I kept thinking the Season was going to end with some hook for the Sequels with Snoke or Palpatine #2 being made, and was relieved it never went there.

I was glad to finally hear some of Austin’s thoughts regarding the Acolyte I was worried you weren’t going to like it 😭 tbh with how both the fandom and Lucasfilm treated the series after its release I grew so disillusioned with the franchise to the point where I actually cancelled my trip to celebration next year out of principal! (Work ended up denying my PTO anyways so I took it as a sign that it wasn’t meant to be.) Can’t wait for Andor next year Happy Holidays to you both!!! 🎄🎅🏼❤

The best hopes I hope for Star Wars is that the Mandalorian and Grogu are so good, that star wars is taken more seriously from Lucasfilm. And that it funds the shows. I think going back to movies is good, but they definitely need writers that actually care about connecting stuff together. Make movies every few years, have great tv shows, especially animated ones because the animated shows have better writing/pacing oops, that should be the Star Wars cycle. Just copy what Kamen Rider/Super Sentai/Ultraman/Japan does.

Really like hearing from you guys and I feel like my love for star wars is coming back little by little with skeleton cew. I was scared to try it because the acolyte was 🤢🤮🤮🤮 but my daughter and i really liked the skeleton crew, and I started to rewatch Clone Wars again and I also feel hopeful for the future of star wars...
