That’s a very good review, I do want a sport bike that I can tool around on for a few hours. You know with a powerful bike everyone says “you don’t need all that power!” With powerful cars it’s “why spend all that money on gas?!”. People get what you like and what makes you happy and be responsible with what you get.

Nice change of pace for a review. It goes fast obviously but getting details on how it rides on a daily base in traffic, just calmly, chill in your own vibe is also just as valuable so thanks for showing this as well Lali. Happy you enjoyed the ride on the RSV4.

Other riders that exceed the speed limit tend to blur the actual speed they are going over the speed limit due to getting tickets based on their posted speed in their video. I don’t know how often it happens but it’s something to be aware of.

First, an excellent review. Maybe try the R1 comparing new, to old, and an update oil video😮 Having had 4 Aprilia; Mille-R SP, Pegaso Strada, RS250 and the rsv4 aprc I find them all comfortable (especially for the larger build person). It requires a +ve or opening throttle, to make it less jerky. Race mode is actually easier to use, as you concentrate more. Wait until you're doing 80mph in first.
@Angryboot4 ай бұрын
I dailied on my '13 RSV4 for a while; it's doable, not the most comfortable on surface streets. Still have it. Yes, it gets pretty hot in stop-and-go traffic.

The RSV4 is pretty intresting. Among liter bikes it’s one of the more comfortable bikes but if you let it off its leash it turns into an absolute monster

Nice video Lali. Love the RSV4, one of my dream bikes. Never owned one but got to ride the hell out of them on the track during Aprilia sponsored trackdays. You should see if you can attend one. Its definitely more in its element on the track. Gobs of torque and sooo planted and balanced I felt I was on a 600 not a liter bike! I did ride my friend's '13 RSV4 in the street and not the most road friendly but doable. Finding neutral is nearly impossible, seat too high, gets too got in traffic. But paired with an SC exhaust and that V4, whoo baby!!

I ride the 2023 RSV4 and have 6k miles on it so far and four track days. I had zero issues with it. The shifter and blipper is smooth. Spare parts are very expensive though. The bike is slightly small for me personally, I m 6' 2".

Great video! It is an amazing bike when it works and its all smiles until it is warranty time or you have to push it if it does not start up. People in TX are lucky because AF1 is there. Aprilia ownership requires a primary motorcycle + a strong reliable dealer. When it is out of service, It is super disappointing and heart breaking. 3:54 you were a couple of minutes away from the bike shutting down because of overheating.

That is one bike I would love to ride. Got a demo ride on a Ducati Panigale V4S when that came out, incredible bike but definitely not a long-distance mount. The BMW S1000RR that I rode at a CA Superbike School 2-day camp at VIR, though, while not quite as otherworldly as the Ducati, felt like a bike I could ride all day. Wish there were more Aprilia dealers in my area, I only know of one and don't know if they do demos (I suspect the Tuono R might be even more to my liking than the RSV4 though). BTW, I believe it is Aprilia as a marque that has the 54 world titles, not the RSV4 model. Many of their world titles are on smaller 2-strokes, they've only been making big-bore 4-strokes for about the last 20 years or so.

When you were showing the downshift issue with the quickshifter, I saw that the "quickshift available" indicator was orange. It turns black when the conditions are right for quickshift. I don't think it's limited to a rev range, but rather the current speed vs. rev. I've got the '22 Tuono V4 and I commonly ride at very low revs to keep the people in the places I ride from calling the police and asking for them to patrol the area (a cop who gave me a ticket said that's why she was parked there). All this to say, I'm used to low rev quick-downshifts.

For street use the base RSV4 is fine for the street. While from personal experience the RSV4 Factory limited is very much overkill for daily street/commute/mountain riding. But the Factory limited in Speed White had a serious look back vibe to it.

@@AntiParallali To be fair the Factory limited was fun to ride and modify. Upside is it did sell for more than I paid for it as a friend was looking for a fully built track bike. True brightside was I turned 1 RSV4 Factory limited into 2 R6s, one for a daily and one for track days.

The RSV4 is amazing and great value for a superbike, but it is totally overkill for the street and even for most track day riders. The RS660 offers go-to-jail speed and is great on track - and you will have $7500 left over for good safety gear, track fees, riding instruction, insurance and tires.
