Great review! Just picked a 24 Prestige up (without the optional carbon fiber package or black optics package) for about 62k pre tax (sticker was right around 67/68). Audi was also offering 3.99 apr for 60 months. In totality, it was much cheaper than the m340i I was looking at. I think you just have shop around and try to get a good price.

Because this isn't an all new generation yet. I believe 2025 the 5 series is getting a refresh

Beautiful car, have one with those same options, except leather and the color is Deep Green Pearl Effect. The HP is 349 hp, 369 tourqe.

All black out is over done. Cheapens the look. I understand the aggressiveness people are looking for, but the badging, rings, and exhaust need to stay silver. Also for me, the S class needs the classic aluminum look on the mirrors. Used to be one the first things identifying the S models.

In certain colors the chrome looks better but in grey the black optics is perfect combo…too much chrome makes it look too 80’s/90’s when chrome was in.

You don't have to option your car with Black Optics. Plenty of nice designs available with these. Just most buyers currently like the black trim vs shiny silver

The issue I have with the S5 Black Optics is the summer tires. I would prefer all-season due to our local climate.
