Get one of those telescopic mounts , I have the beatdown one I can raise the livescope to eye level way easier on the body.

Size matters. Throw a full size zara spook when the water is calm. Full size jerkbait and crankbait moving fast and erratic. Smallies are more aggressive than southern spots. A tube/Ned will get you numbers but the bait choice will help with the size. We caught 8 lbers back in the early 90’s so the lake has always had em. Canadian side sees the least fishing pressure so I would focus on the North East side for a multi day derby. Wolpole to Mitchell bay. Erie has deep rock piles that produce studs but you will earn em if the weather is bad. BTW…props for running a 519. Old school!👍🏻 Good Luck!

Being that Anchor Bay has been good, and a good place to get out of the wind, you need to try there.

I know the launch near the river well ! There have been many trailers stolen from that ramp, even whole rigs have come up missing! .... I would run from the north end, or scrap going that said, the Canadian side at the river in front of the stone piles in 7/8 foot can be great? .... Then the belle river hump!
