I've been an Audi fan for a while. I'm getting the BMW urge, and your video is helping me lean toward a 330i xDrive. Thanks for the in depth driving and descriptions. I'm getting excited...

G20 330i owner here. It’s by far the best car in its class.

I had a B9 A4 before I got a G20 330i. Both with base suspension. Stock for stock, the BMW handles extremely well. Much better than my A4 which I got aftermarket lowering springs and a sway bar for. Both cars were fast for a 2.0. The EA888 engine though was smoother than the B46. I got piggyback boxes for both cars (I had the cars at a time when they didn't have ECU remaps for them). The BMW responded to the JB4 very well, especially with ethanol. I have dragy verified videos on my channel if you want to see what a 330i can do with just a JB4 and some ethanol and no other mods. But yes. Both are fantastic cars. If I could only get one, it would be the 330i. It's a more fun car over all.

bro i’m trying so hard to not get a 330i for my first job out of college since i graduate soon and want to be responsible with my money 😂 also thank you for actually driving these cars unlike others that drive 20mph

A 330i is actually not a bad choice for an out of college first car. My first out of college car was a new Kia Stinger GT1 AWD, which was a similarly priced car. BMW is giving some awesome discounts and low interest rates on this car, plus a college graduation incentive. I'd go for it, as long as it doesn't impede your finances for other things!

Get a used one. Save some money. And if possible cosign with someone with a good credit like your parents.

@@Demoxx1 Problem with used cars at the moment is just the interest rates are terrible. Over 3/4 years you're paying 12-16% more in interest over the cost of the loan that could make up most of the savings from buying used lol.

I wouldn't say the X3 30i drives any worse. It's even more comfortable and spacious.

@@DMCarReviews More comfortable and spacious, yes, but I don't think it handles better. I don't think it can get up to speed that quickly and feel secure go in higher speed. It's also as not as agile as the sedan. The X3 can handle potholes much better though and in my area potholes are everywhere nowadays.

its 6 seconds 0-60 lol thats not fast.. the old beamers with 335 hp were better, not the same anymore. Plus dealers are littered with 330s, everyone buys em but there returned too at the same rate

@@possession3929 A 16 GS doesn't do 5.1 seconds 0-60 (as I did here) nor is it anywhere close in handling. The GS is a solid 6.4s-6.5s car.

I dont know about more pickup. But maybe a little more torque. they added a mild hybrid system. A little less top end than pre lci models though. Watch Redline Reviews 330i lci video for more info.

Have a lci 330 m sport and love how agile it is in the twisties because of the lighter engine. However, I definitely miss the extra oomph and sound from the m340i. I feel like the sweet spot for the 330 would have been around 300hp, but then again that would invade m340 sales. Would love to see you drive the 2025 330i with the new mild hybrid system and see how that compares with the pre lci and lci 1

Similar handling, but the M340 is even sportier thanks to the adaptive M suspension

I know its an obscure ish car but you should drive a P3 era volvo S60, 2011-2015, I have the T5 and its really great, 250 hp (I think a tad understated) and it makes 295 ft lbs of torque. It easily cruises at autobahn speeds and rides pretty sporty. I think itd compare good to a car of this class!

With the Lexus 350, you have the mid 5, not with the 330i.

On the other hand, due to the turbo, the 330i has more low-revvature torque and gives a typical turbo feel. The Lexus gives a much more cozy ride from the V6 that sleeps if you want, and explosive if you need it. 💢

Same here, this thing seems so boring. And tech is just an easy way to put an expiration date on cars. These iPad screens will look and be outdated in 5 years at most. BMW following the lazy mainstream trend and sucking the soul out of their cars since the F platform. Korean cars are taking more market share than ever and the rest of the luxury market is sold to Tesla. Sad state of affairs but these modern ICE cars (turbo 4 popper, direct injection, start/stop, electric power steering, automatic only) are stale junk all the way up to BMW.

@@DMCarReviews I was expecting better. Great torque numbers and BMW always underrates output. My dealership gave me a loaner 330i for a few days. I thought it was fast for a 4cyl turbo. But I did not like the stiff seats, overly stiff suspension and fake exhaust note. Couldn't stand that most functions were controlled by touchscreen. But I can see why these things sell.

Can understand why we see these types of cars less and less. Mainstream cars have stepped up and overstep the luxury segment. I could understand getting a Beemer back when they were elegant, inline 6 and a stick but now... Looks like most other cars, vacuum cleaner sound, automatic, has no presence, big laptops on the dashboard and cheap little chrome accents (painted plastic) here and there. Blah, not for me, and I understand why everyone moves on from these modern luxury ICE cars and get a Tesla. At the end of the day these are lease machines and are disposable.
