You do such a good job with end of the years of unhauls! Especially with letting go of books that you just won’t return to. I DNFed Mary the birth of frankenstein and unhauled it too. And I really loved graveyard shift. But I understand why it didn’t work for you!

I DNF’d and unhauled Miss Austen. The writing just didn’t draw me in. I am open to reading Godmersham Park but will probably get it from the library.

I bought 'Miss Austen' and only really liked the real life references, her brother less than great attempts at literally greatness, so I unhauled it. I also bought the sequel but it's sitting on the shelf, probably because I didn't really like the first book!

Mary and the Birth of Frankenstein made my worst books of the year. It misunderstood Mary Shelley, Frankenstein and Dundee in the early 19th century. It felt like she had a story she wanted to tell and then squeezed Mary Shelley into it.
