Great review! There are even more hidden features of the Brinkley that are top notch! I actually toured their facility and saw how they are built from the ground up. Lots of features above and beyond what you would see in other coaches that tells you they listened to their customers and what they would like to see in their RV. For example they use higher than normal rated axles which is always a worry for me while traveling with my non-Brinkley fifth wheel. Even the tires (shoes) are better than what they put on most rigs. When you travel as far as I have over the years those things you wouldn’t necessarily think of are actually some of the most important! I’ve seen many an RV on the side of the road with suspension and tire problems! Me being one of them a few times in the middle of nowhere! Hats off to Nick on his review and hats of to Brinkley! If and when I get a new rig it is definitely going to be a Brinkley!

Nick you did a good job on the review, it looked like you was trying to go a little fast on some parts but then slowed down again. To me it doesn't matter if it takes you a hour for the review as long as you touch on everything and what not. Overall keep doing what you're doing and a heck of a good job.

Great review!! You set yourself apart with the tech perspective so please be as thorough (and long) as you feel you should be. Most of us looking to purchase NEED that. We can get the salespersons perspective at any RV dealership in the country. Their techs don’t walk through the units telling us what they have to fix the most or what customers are complaining about. We need your experience and perspective!

Excellent review! I'm VERY interested in this 5th wheel, which is how I found your channel. Thanks for giving an honest review from your perspective. It's great to know that they used a great slide mechanism, vs that other kind, and that everything looks ship shape. Anyone interested in these would want to know these kinds of things. I'd rather watch you do a tour that any gimmicky, yelling salesperson! Here's to hoping your channel grows! Sharing this video with a few other Brinkley fans.

Nick its great to see the opinion from the Tech side of things. You did a great job and love to see a deeper dive into technical parts ie; electrical, plumbing, build; in - out - under what’s different. IMHO there are enough channels doing what you refer to as the “Salesman Walk Through” and you hit all the important stuff. Keep doing what your doing and love to see you drive deeper in to mechanicals.

Great review! As an engineer I want the details and you did a very good job. A couple of things I'm looking for on any rig are access to the bed, bathroom, and refrigerator when the bumps are in- it's AMAZING that almost all have the refrigerator at least partially blocked. If you are at Camp Walmart you can't bump out. Additionally I like to see windows that open all the way and solar hookups. Thanks again!!

Great initial review! I agree with you that there should be charging ports, and/or perhaps retractable cables to accommodate the various portable and phone technologies. Outlets for laptops would be great too. Do the TVs have multiple input HDMI ports or cable access to add DVD or cameras? How was it powered? Suspension? Are there any hidden charging jacks built-in? How about a more oval toilet for men? Insulation package for winter use? Basement was nicer, but could still be better organized, especially if you have to get in there for repairs. Laying on cables, hoses, etc., isn't fun at all! Overall, much better with more room for improvement. Thanks again for the tour! 👍😀

Really appreciate this, we're seriously considering this exact unit. I dive deep into quality (it's an rv you have to) especially at 100k sticker. We were going with rockwood because they are built very well imo. Better then GD and certainly better than alliance. Few things I wish this unit had, torsion axles or independent suspension, dual azdel, aluminum framed roof, better pin box, FBP option and slide topper option from Brinkley.
@Hitting-the-road Жыл бұрын
Well done. Appreciate the tech point of view. More tech on the axels, tires suspension, leveling, dump. The things experienced RV buyers have learned are important. Leave the storage and colors to the salesperson. I Don’t listen too much to them anyway if they don’t comment on what sets the unit apart from the rest. Keep at it. I’ll watch.
@vllo9790 Жыл бұрын
Appreciate your detailed look from the tech respective! Please point out the quality vs. the pitfalls. We need to know how to judge what is worth the money and longevity. Good to know what we can expect to repair in the future. Also, I agree with you on the weird color of the chairs and 2 seater. You did miss two features. There is a dedicated silverware drawer under the dining table. The bench seat does move and has storage inside. The wood top hinges up to make a desk height surface.

I have been on the direct sales side of business in another industry my entire career. I would much rather hear from you on something like this than a sales person. You have much higher credibility. I would suggest slowing down a little bit and spend a little more time explaining why some the features are better. Keep doing what you are with these videos and you will have a large following in a short amount of time. Great job!

Thank you for the great review! I laughed when you said the colors were ugly for the lounge and dinette chairs. Nothing a few muddy dogs or a few blankets can’t cover…lol! I was wondering if you could talk about the solar and inverter a bit more and whether this thing is made for cold weather camping. I’m also hearing that there’s 2 x 45gal grey tanks that are hooked together to avoid overflow? I’m curious to learn over time how the electronic dump valves are. (I see the pull valves can leak)

@billtalarico4300 Жыл бұрын
I toured the Brinkley factory and they did put together a fine coach. One thing I would like to ask, can you show how far the windows open? I know there are a lot of buyers out there that are a bit torn knowing that the framed windows open quite a bit farther that the frameless windows. Also, I was intrigued to find out that the wall thickness on the Brinkley is only 2”, whereas the wall thickness on all of the Alliance’s models are 4”. That could be a deal breaker for someone who is looking to full time RV. I don’t own a 5th wheel yet so I don’t have any allegiance to any manufacturer. I will be purchasing one sometime over the next 2-3 years and I take a lot of technical notes on many of the 5th wheels out there. One other thing regarding the windows on the Brinkley. My wife is a bit concerned that the daytime shades have little holes that allows a chord to travel through it. Her concern is will mosquitoes be able to get through those holes? I’ve rambled long enough, thanks much for what you do.
@EuroCar911 Жыл бұрын
There is no way that Alliance has 4" thick walls! I have toured both Brinkley and Alliance side by side at a local dealership and have to say it completely changed my view of Alliance. I will say Alliance is better built than most but Brinkley is worth the extra cost without a doubt! My only concern would be the windows and how much airflow you can get with the framed windows vs the sliding windows in most other RV's. I do think I would prefer the Brinkley shade/blackout system over hanging (and clanking) pull down shades. We love fresh air breeze over A/C when possible but there is also the benefit of being able to keep windows open in rainy weather with the framed windows! Hard choices to make!

My husband and me saw one at Holland RV in San Marcos Calif, and to be honest, we were not impressed. We saw the smaller one, it was a very cramped feeling inside, and we weren’t fans of the window shades one bit. If they made it a dropped frame and a wide body, I would consider it, but to me it just didn’t seem worth the price. I hope that as they grow as a company, they take that into consideration, we would have considered one if they did. I’m sticking with my love for the Grand Designs Solitudes.
