Hi everyone, I'm back with another video and this time I'm setting up my 2024 bullet journal inspired by cozy gothic vibes! for the pens and theme, you can always stack on the metallic colors. silver, bronze and gold would do best. oh also metallic brown :) hope that helps!

I did a black journal this year and used POSCA pens as well as gelly rolls. Gelly roll moonlight has some muted colours that looks really good on black paper.

I love black pages but my need for all the colours everywhere makes them impractical - when I had one I did use a silver gel pen quite a lot and colouring pencils turned out to show up better than pens for a lot of colours ☕

I'm a Writech fan too!!! I LOOOOVE their sign brush pens. Also, I'm an avid reader. Well, as much as work/life lets me, hehehe. I thought a reading journal would be perfect for me too. Turns out that I cannot keep up with more than one bullet-type journal. A couple weeks ago, I found out that Clever Fox makes a reading journal. It's been an awesome find for me. It's flexible in that it's not dated but structured enough that it makes it easy to keep track of the books that I read and then what I thought of them. Anyway, just a suggestion. Thanks for a fun video. Oops. One last thing...I would be interested to see what an art history journal looks like as someone who enjoys art.

i LOVE posca pens for black paper. They have a minor learning curve but I almost never have to go over my work twice for coverage and I use mainly black paper. If nothing else, you can get the grey scale colors, and the brown, to match your theme

If I may make a suggestion? I think if the themes from last year are bothering you because they don't match, I would frame it like a gallery wall. This allows the pictures to be different sizes and slightly different shapes, but makes it look intentional. Just a suggestion :D. I really like all the architectural elements in your journal! I've always been fascinated by architecture and think your use of the pillars and arches is fantastic.

☕ I'm so intrigued by blackout journals, but am a bit scared of committing to a whole year with one! This set up is so beautiful though, I might be tempted for 2025. (I've already got both my 2024 journals). Love your style, I'm not generally one for more neutral set ups, but yours are always outstanding, maybe because they're more maximalist which I love. The gothic vibes are outstanding, cant wait to follow your set ups in 2024!

The black pages definitely take some adjusting to but I think its easier when your journaling style mixes well with them! Although I'd love to see a super colorful spread contrasted with the black - that'd probably look very cool! 🤍

Wow, lovw the colour palette and the theme so much! Beautiful set up and wonderful spreads. Well, I think the Acrylograph paint pens from Archer and Olive might work well and you should be able to find some colours that would be suitable for your colour palette I believe. ☕

In my opinion, any brown tones should be fine for your productivity tracker. There are tons of nude gel pen available online that have beautiful darker and lighter brown tones.
