A fair and balanced review. Thanks. I bought an ATTO 3 after watching Cris’ videos. No regrets. Thanks to the good and responsible reviewers. Safety features of ATTO 3 are good. I am not a racer, but the power is there when i need it. For example when changing lane. The car serves me well overall, compared with my previous experience. There are surely some pluses and minuses, but on balance, it is good enough. I didn’t change its batman tyres. Intend to use them till they are worn out. They are ok. So i am protecting the earth. (I owned two Toyotas and two Zafira before, bought brand new. They were great in those days.) Now it is the time for EV. Any brands. As for BYD, If BYD battery can power buses that ply in London and USA, they should be more than capable in running cars efficiently and safely.

BTW, it's the same price as a RAV 4, but you get an EV, way more tech and an interior quality of a mid range Lexus, not your regular cheap scratchy mounded plastic you would get in a Toyota. I tried it today and yes, it's a couple of class above your run of the mill Japanese cars.

I regularly cart 2 grandchildren and they love to play the door strings when they get a chance. However the child safety seats are quite high and once underway the novelty disappears. Also need to carry a wheelie walker for my wife in the boot (the walker - not the wife in the boot), and it not only fits perfectly, it offers 3 nooks around it to store groceries without tipping over. Finally, after a year of driving I have averaged 15kWh per 100km which is almost a 50/50 blend of motorway and suburban driving, and overnight charge via AGL at 8cents/kWh.

Another awesome review guys ❤ In the last week I have test drove both the BYD Atto3 and the MG4, the BYD is comfortable but handling is questionable, torque steer is very obvious, and it leans going around corners, she’s a boat 😂 in general it’s a nice car. Alternatively the MG4, omg its good, one pedal driving is excellent, handling is excellent, it’s nippy, comfortable, super sleek inside, and very modern outside, loved it, and it comes with excellent tires.

Probably all true, but they are very different types of car - The MG is very plain inside, boring IMO. I think if you're single and younger the MG4 is more fun, but if you have kids, and don't want to crawl to get in and out of your car then the Atto 3 is sound. After a year, new tires are going to really improve the performance of the Atto 3 too from what I hear. Would be really nice if they did an OTAU to improve the regen to closer to 1 pedal - not sure if that's likely.

Go and educate yourself, mate. BYD uses LFP batteries and are the safest in the market.
@trojanhman8136 Жыл бұрын
@@Peter-vn8ue Thanks, I just did. They are safer but have less energy density. They also have another technology called Blade; which indicates that LFP isn't a solution. Will Blade be? If they can overcome thermal runaway and increase range, that is a link in the chain of issues, resolved. There is a steady line of issue that make EVs a failed concept. If you wish to buy, go ahead but the expenses will surprise you. At the end of the day, the government will not accept a financial loss from the implementation of EVs. They will increase all costs, charges and taxes.
@remakeit2628 Жыл бұрын
@@trojanhman8136 BYD's LFP blade batteries don't succumb to thermal runaway from accidents. However, when overheated from other energy sources, such as an overwhelming fire (as in being in the garage of a house fire) thermal runaway MAY occur if the battery has a high state of charge. Your claim of EVs being a failed concept is total BS, as proven by nearly every car and truck manufacturer committing to EV technology. Furthermore your claim about EV expenses is even more foolish. It cost me more to insure my 10 year old ICEv than my year old EV which is twice the value. And on charging and servicing costs in 13 months my total is under AUD$200 (actually less than I spend on coffees in 3 months). Not sure how ignorant you want to be, but keeping pulling nonsense out of your rear end so I can shove it back down your throat.
