I bought a 2024 outlander HD7 pro hunting edition as well back in October 2023. 53 hours and 300 miles later I am more than happy with my purchase. IMO it is the nicest fourwheeler you can buy for the money. Cheers

I went in to the dealer 6 wks ago thinking Honda Rancher for food plot work, with a touch of fun (or else I'd get a side by side), and came out with an HD5 after learning of the pros and cons (and Can-Am's 1.99% financing). Really enjoying it!

Love my 700 max xt outlander. Went atv camping in the UP. Rode out of trout lake to detour village and up to brimley. Put 400 miles on the back trails lol.

I’ve really been thinking about selling my defender max and going back to a atv. Especially since the boys are getting atvs for Christmas. I’m thinking about the outlander pro max hunting edition.

@@jew0182 i think you will love it. I have a ranger 1000 not xp as well as having quads. I couldnt give up quads entirely. They are too much fun and too useful. I went with a 3 seat ranger because i knew i physically cant fit a 4 door on my property. Maybe some day when the trails are cleared more. But that would limit it to main trails. If they werent so expensive you could make a case for 4 door (family would be so much fun to ride together with) 2 door side by side and quads. But unfortunately money is not a social construct lol

Excellent review here! Great feedback and not like most videos of the HD7s here just being redundant and basic. Great points about this vs 850/ 1000 twins. Im in Mio and also need a fresh work/ trail atv. This fits the bill great i think!

@@METALfanUSMC i tru to keep it interesting. In mio this would be a great quad. My buddy and i just road m33 trail head to bullgap and all around that area. It did great! Even with my big butt i made it up bull gap no problem and it was amazing on the trails. Also its great for low speed 4wd technical driving. Great ground clearance and traction. Good machine for property work for sure

@@METALfanUSMC one id wait for the 2025 so you can get this new chassis and new double a arm rear suspension ( just announced). But i really dont think one could hate a hd7 powered pro. I have a polaris 850 so i get the twin thing, i really do. But the difference isnt as huge as people want to believe between 850 and 650 (hd7 engine). The hd7 has a really strong bottom and mid range. For sure the 850 out powers it top end but in terms of getting you from point a to point b rarely are people using the 850’s top end. I know if i bought a second new quad rigjt now given the 5k bump to an 850 id be hard pressed to not buy another of the exact thing i have For people who dont hunt i do think they Made a mistake on their accessories. The XU should just be a pro hunt without camo. Everyone would want the winch, skid plating and a arm protectors of the hunt edition, but not everyone likes camo like i do

@greatlakespowerstrokefx4 Yes, I absolutely agree with your points here. Good input on power comparison, too. I'm feeling like I want a test drive on HD7 & with the Gen3 850 when one comes around. Thanks!

My XT MAX 700 actually tops out at 74 mph. Takes a mile, though. 1" wheel spacers help the cornering a bit. Love it.
@greatlakespowerstrokefx4Ай бұрын
@@formerice mine really is out of steam around 52 even laid down. Perhaps different gearing? No idea why that would help but there shouldnt be much for differences.
@formericeАй бұрын
@@greatlakespowerstrokefx4 I think the XT MAX is geared higher than the other models. My old Arctic Cat 700 TRV hit 74 when new, but I reclutched it for better bottom end and then it hit 65 max.. Happy with the gearing on the Can Am, though. 7500 rpms seems to hit the governor.
@greatlakespowerstrokefx4Ай бұрын
@@formerice you are pulling way more rpm than mine is. Must be the gearing contributing to the clutches not upshifting as much. It wasnt clutched?
