I didn't even know you could tow a mower behind an atv. Be glad to see when you use one. Nice ride, I'm watching all kinds of videos trying to decide on which one best fits me. God Bless

I know 4 people with CF Moto’s. Two with full cab sxs, and two with 4x4 atv’s. All four have been riddled with problems, including two blown engines, both on the SXS’s. Neither engine made it to 500km. Both trail ridden only. I know two people are considering trading theirs already

I have the HD7 pro hunting edition. It comes with the Visco 4lock and a 3500lb winch too. You know ur on a can am when you hit that sport mode switch! Nice air time buddy

Nice video. the xu has a stiffer spring rate for work. The regular pro has a softer suspension for play. That would for sure contribute to the bucking.
@AppalachianMountainRiders3 ай бұрын
All Outlander Pro’s, be it the HD5 or HD7 in either regular or XU package, have the same spring rate tailored for work. The regular outlander 700 and 500 be it regular or XT have the softer springs for play.

I got the XU also mainly for the diff lock. I ride in mud quite often but I gotta say that regular 4wd on mine works really really well. I kept getting stuck one time in the same place and someone told me to try without diff lock and it walked right through it. I wonder if I even needed the diff lock feature with as well as the 4wd drive system works without the diff lock even engaged.

Also the stock tires on them work really well too! That definitely helps!

Hey I'm about to pull the trigger on a new Can Am - How "extra low" is the low range on the XU HD7 vs a regular XT700? Cheers from Ontario

Not much. Barely noticeable. My hd7 rips just fine and you don’t feel the difference till in the top end.

I’m a Yamaha guy too and I got to say that this HD7 blows the grizzly 700’s I have in the past out of the water! Rides better, has more power, and the cvt is just as smooth. The question will be how it holds up in the long run compared to a grizz.
@nortonashburn56779 ай бұрын
i was thinking of getting the same quad but chickened out and got a 2023 grizz camo. its my 3rd grizz.
@AppalachianMountainRiders9 ай бұрын
You still can’t go wrong with a grizzly! Just wish they weren’t so expensive for being relatively unchanged for the past 8 years save going back to the 686 over the 708 which was a smart move. Back in 2009 I got my first grizzly 700 for around 6k brand new with sales that was going on.

@@AppalachianMountainRiders bought a 23 grizzly xtr last week they wouldn't go any lower than 11,400 plus tax just didn't want to roll the dice on the all new can am hopefully they made the right changes The radiator being up high is a must in the south and the snorkles need to be higher Yamaha needs to come out with a edition for this environment they would sell more extended warranties

Cfmoto owner … if you are looking at the 600 Cfmoto … I’d go with grizzly or outlander…. 800 and 1000 Cfmoto .. that’s different .

Great video! 2 quick questions for you: -Did you use the Can Am winch or did you go with another brand? -How did you get the winch control on the handle bar without having the winch factory installed? I'm purchasing a Can AM Outlander Pro, but I sure like the synthetic roped Polaris winches which stop automatically owing to a magnet (but I don't know if there's a third party brand that can do that).
@AppalachianMountainRiders8 ай бұрын
You can get can am winches with auto stop too. I went with a can am winch because of how the winch switch fits seamlessly into the left hand controls. It looks so clean! You should be able to order the switch and use any winch you want though. Your just have to do a bit of re-wiring to make the cam am switch work with the winch you get. Typically three wires so it’s actually really simple to do.
@markdd3338 ай бұрын
@@AppalachianMountainRiders Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Further question: if I get a Can Am winch installed by the dealer, will they be able to install it (with pre-wired wiring) to the handle like if I purchased "Pro Hunter" model?
@AppalachianMountainRiders8 ай бұрын
@markdd333 yep. That’s how I did mine. It will come with a smaller switch that mounts right into the left handle bar controls under the start button. There’s a “blank” section that comes out and the switch mounts in.

Same here! Can am does have a real nice deep red color that is my absolute favorite but this is a great color too. Especially how well it hides the dirt and mud…lol

Looks like they added more functionality on this machine and I hope the engineers thought of servicing on this model. I like my 850 outlander xmr but servicing it is a real pain.
@AppalachianMountainRiders9 ай бұрын
Service is super easy compared to the second gen’s! The entire side panels come off with one latch and you can get to everything then. No more having to remove the entire footwell to change the oil filter!
@ethanmunger33747 ай бұрын
Never needed to remove footwell on a gen 2 either. Remove four plastic rivets and take inner wheel well off. Its right there. Nice and easy. @AppalachianMountainRiders

Hey sir, I’m stuck between the Yamaha grizzly and yours! Please be honest with me, since you have had it has it gave you any issues? Help me make the right choice please
@AppalachianMountainRidersСағат бұрын
Zero issues. Having owned a both grizzly 660 and 700 I can honestly say the outlander is a better quad. So far anyway. The grizzly’s are way overpriced for being basically the same quad they’ve been since 2016 save for going back to the 686 power plant which was a good thing. You can’t argue the grizz’s dependability though. Unfortunately the 500 and 700’s haven’t been out long enough to compare that though. That being said I would not go back to a grizzly after owning my HD7.

Everytime I see one of your riding videos, I think I may see a trail I recognize. I think you are just a little too far away from where I used to ride. The terrain though, is very similar. Needless to say, there have been a few machines purchased and serviced where you work in the group I ride with. I too am not a Polaris boy. But somehow, I have 2 now.
