I did a similar build. I did get the magnetic ride, body matched color, low wing, and a couple of things you didn't get. Like you I live in Northeast Ohio. Only thing I have left to decide is the level of paint protection. Torn between the wrap or just ceramic coating.

That is awesome, Congrats on your car. The weather is what I most torn about. HAHA .... I would say ppf the front end and ceramic coat the entire car. I got a quote from a local high end very reputable shop for both + Interior Ceramic around 2.2K which is very competitive.

Congratulations man. I'm picking up my 2024 2LT convertible on the 27th. Can't wait. I also went front lift. Z51 I just can't see the justification unless you're going to regularly track it, which I'm just not. Performance exhaust for $1100 for 5 horsepower is negligible, so I wouldn't buy that unless you really, really think it sound that much better. There are lots of aftermarket options if you want the sound not the hp gain. All in all I can't wait, hope you're enjoying your beautiful car.

I am at order status 2000, so just accepted by GM, but zero deposit was asked of me. I ordered a '24 coupe, Riptide Blue Metallic, standard wheels, light grey interior. Options were an allocation imposed Z51, but I chose aero delete, mag ride, front lift, engine lights and the battery tender. I bet the 2025 price increase would have eaten a lot of the cost of the Z51 stuff I accepted - we'll see. Have my four piece radiator grills, lifting pucks, Torx sockets and drivers and ceramic brake shoes in the shopping cart. Still looking for a 9mm 10 point socket for the front brake caliper pin.

I ordered a 2024 2LT HTC with Z51 & Mag Ride, no Front Lift. Z51 top speed is only 184 mph, but 2.8s 0-60; I had to order the Z51 cuz GM imposed this allocation on my dealership, i was a bit perplexed as you for the Orange/Carbon flash, but some forums confirmed that GM sometimes imposes packages. The colour combos can be a headache, I picked black on black and standard rims. My mods will be cosmetic for now, make everything inside black, even the speaker covers and stitching. You could upgrade to softer tires and see if the corners are better. And thanks for sharing your thoughts.

The reason for the lower top speed is the extra drag caused by the aero on the Z51…. Everyone put some aero on their c8’s probably more aggressive ones so i dont think you would be missing out on anything with a lower top speed. Imposed packages are beyond us all… anyhow overall the car is great value and a blast to drive I hope you enjoy yours and be safe

@@JayJafar I read that the Z51 gearing is different. Hennessy was able to do 205mph with a Z51 with upgraded exhaust, NOS and No rear spoiler.

Wow, this is exactly how I would have optioned a C8. I had a 3LT z-51 C7 with mag ride…. But I went back to my old C6. I’m just having a hard time justifying spending that much money anymore

The cost does add up very quick when you start adding options. I do think the mag ride would have been worth it, whats your thought given u have experience with both with and without mag ride?

This is very helpful. When you placed your order did you pay for it in full online or did you go to the dealer to work out financing/payment?

Im glad it helped, I wired $500 deposit to get in the line. Nothing more was paid until the car was ready for pickup I had my pre approval with me but the dealer forced me to go through them saying they dont accept out of state financing I kept their financing for a month then refinanced, I just made sure there was no early termination fee

Las Vegas Nevada has no interest in special ordering a Corvette you pay their price. They Start with adjusted Market value anywhere between 10 and $30,000 and all amendments The dealerships idea of negotiating is you willingly and happily handing over an excess of $40,000 over MSRP just for the pleasure of buying the one on the showroom floor only, they are not interested in selling anything else No extra effort other than looking over your shoulder for the next sucker to walk in.

That is crazy, does Nevada have a rule that restricts buying from out of state dealers?

You can purchase out-of-state it’s just the hoops you have to jump through I’ll be financing a portion of the sales price so now my bank will be in different state the dealership that I purchased it from in a different state taking it to a dealership that didn’t sell it for service/warranty work when I’m already poorly treated is just a dealbreaker for me. The Corvette is just a car. I’m not gonna play their game and be treated badly so that I can be treated badly again because I didn’t purchase it at their dealership. I was in a Las Vegas Chevrolet dealership yesterday they advertised Z06 which of course when you get there, they don’t have it, I could barely get a Pulse out of the salesman not on the lot they’re not even doing any extra work so I finally gave up and walked out. They were 12 other salesman with no one to talk to you. There was no one at the dealership customer wise yet I was still treated that way. I’ll wait till they start closing dealerships and then I might be treated better if not I can wait.

You are wrong about the convertible great value better looking than the coupe and sexier and you don't have to screw around with taking the top on and off and losing capacity if you're traveling in good weather and want to put the top down it seems to me that you're buying a Bargain Basement car😢

You are 3:13 dead wrong a convertible is a great value and better and much better looking and sexy if you're going to travel you don't lose the trunk space take the top on and off your options selections were bad
