Only a clown chooses cosmetic BS over Mag suspension, especially on a budget build. The C8 you tube channels are garbage.

For me: 1) Z51 (which includes magnetic dampers) is THE (unbudget-friendly) MUST-HAVE option on a Corvette; and 2) I love the spontaneity and trunk space sparing automated hardtop (convertible), so I'd opt for those despite the cost; 3) Appearance-wise, I think the Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat is the to-die-for 2024 color, esp. when paired with the $3495 20-spoke Tech Bronze wheels (which BTW, you can get for $2795 from Corvette Garage & still have the base open-spoke bright silver-painted aluminum wheels to sell on eBay for ~$1000 minus eBay selling costs, thereby bringing that option cost down to a more reasonable $1995); 4) Given that tech bronze wheel selection, I'd opt for the more budget friendly (than your appearance options) $495 Jake hood graphic with Tech Bronze accent to complement those wheels; and consequently select: 5) The LT3 Natural, Napa leather seating surfaces (over the Natural Dipped, drenched in tan interior). I went spendy for the 3LT to get the Napa leather & GT2 seats, which unfortunately pushes the Chevy configurator bottom line to: $99,580 (deep sigh), but I'd advocate for at least LT2 on any Vette, if you must cut somewhere, an LT2 Z51 Convertible (with the same Jake Tech Bronze graphics and Tech Bronze wheels) with Natural Mulan seating surfaces and GT1 seats will look & perform the same for $95,425 and still have the lions' share of the LT3 upgrades. Configure it yourself and give it a walk around.

Mike, thanks for the “Readers Digest” version of the different builds and prices. After seeing this I went back and looked at the buyers order for my 2024 3LZ HTC Z06 and remembered that I spent 14K more than the 2LZ Z06 you built, but I was also price protected before the prices went up. I know I sent you my build so you are aware of the other options I added. I agree that the 2LZ Z06 build you did checks all of the necessary boxes. For me personally, I am very happy with the extra I spent to get the things I wanted, but also realize that those who get one all decked out with Z07 pkg and loaded up with CF will spend quite a bit more than I did. Your build(s) on this video clearly show that any of these cars can be nicely optioned at a reasonable price for what you get. I got a C8 Stingray sooner than predicted. How? When you make a build on the website, at some point there will be a pop-up warning that there are Corvettes similar to your build in nearby locations. I usually ignore this because I was worried of dealership markup over MSRP. Well, this time I took a chance and I now own a 3LT non-Z51 C8 with performance exhaust and front lift. Before that I was on the MacMulkin waiting list for 2+ months.

My build came out to ~76.5k. Two things I chose that many ppl skip: front radiator grill guards and PDR. More protection and more peace of mind. Also, those wheels Mike selected have constraint issues. I went with Black machined edge 5 spoke which have a more carbon flash effect on the paint you appreciate more in person. The 20 spoke is more of a glossy black.

I bought and built my c8. I wanted to cheap out and my wife never let me. 3lt mag ride z51 front lift full suede yellow calipers Jake logo. Put full carbon fiber in side. I’ve satin 1lt builds. I thank my wife everyday for not cheaping out. What a difference. It’s like sitting in completely different cars

Base is definitely still a great value. There's no mid-engine competitor that matches the style or performance in that price range.

My thoughts are that i really like the all season tires on my non z51 stingray and the same would be true, especially on an AWD vette. Also, I don’t plan to track the eray. To be fair, you're not really getting $2500 tires for $500... you're getting $2500 tires instead of $2000 tires.

You are correct, but most people don’t really need the all season tires. I think it’s perfect to just pay the $500 and skip buying summer only tires for the summer. Some people won’t buy summers but some will.
